Do you know when you will have this upper in stock?
jason m on Jun 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately I do not have an eta for production at this time.
what is the weight of the upper?

Is this BCG compatible with a CMMG full auto adapter for use with a fostech echo trigger?
Caleb G on Jul 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I used the Fostech auto sear and weighted forward assist, their auto sear is already “bent” where it meets the Fostech trigger lock and brings the lock forward to disengage the lock. The auto sear has to float freely, I don’t think the CMMG one does unless you clip off the two side tabs or “ears”.
Is the flash holder pinned on or threaded? I'm lookomg for a dedicated .22 upper than can accept a screw on suppressor, hoping this one will work.
J B on May 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The flashhider is not pinned. It has a standard A2 birdcage threaded flash hider with same threads 1/2 - 28 as all standard milspec AR15 barrels. I removed it an installed a different one.
Is there an eta of when these will be back in stock?
Michael P on Sep 15, 2018
What PSA Lower would you pair with this? Is there a complete one that is not a kit?
Andy From TN on May 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Any of the standard AR lowers will do. For 95% manual of arms compatibility, get a "Better-Mag" adapter to use SW-15/22 magazines.... Or better yet get an ARCatch-22 bolt catch replacement and use SW-15/22 or Kriss Defiance mags for 100% manual of arms compatibility.
Does this use a 556 lower?
joshhsoj on Jul 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The whole point of the upper is to fit onto a 556 / 223 lower, so yes.
Is it a last round bolt hold open?

will this fit on a mil spec ar15 lower?

Will the cmmg magazine work with these 22lr uppers?
John S on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes I had 3 25 rd CMMG mags that worked perfectly
What ammo runs best?
Stephen B on Jun 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I run CCI SV suppressed and it works great.
Just bought one and it is one way. I am going to build a dedicated lower for it. Do I need to install a buffer and spring in the buffer extension tube to hold forward tension on the BCG?
Steve D on May 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The buffer detent is what holds the .22 bolt carrier in place, as it's solid in the bottom, there's no cutout for it to pass over the detent like on a regular bolt carrier. So the spring and buffer is NOT essential to function in a .22 caliber version.
this is for a products expert I think. What is the difference between the 22 rifle 6934 and the 8928 besides the Stainless Steel bolt group as opposed to the Phosphate one, $100, and the one is not in stock. But when it was it was $249. I just RECEIVED the 6934 on 7/24 and on 7/26 got the ad for the 8928. The SS Bolt can't be worth $100 more so what did i pay an extra $100 for? Thanks
Saywhat on Jul 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 8928 was sold as a clearance item at a reduced price. Besides shipping with the phosphated bolt, that item also came with a different styled rail.
Can I purchase an extra bolt? I have issues with the first one needs to be replaced. Didn’t even get 30 rounds through it
David A on Sep 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The small guide pin inside the bolt it’s self was loose and after firing only a few rounds bent it and came right out - looking to replace the bolt or just the pin.
Will this upper work with timiny trigger?
Addison C on Jul 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why it wouldn't. from my experience the only issues that people commonly encounter is when using a military hammer with the hook or notch on the rear. Most commercial triggers do not have the notch or hook. I have a match trigger in my lower and it works 100%. My PSA 22Lr works great and has proved to be 100% reliable so far.
Is the upper able to run sub-sonic ammunition (CCI 40grain 1050fps HP, etc.) without problems?
David T on Jul 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Haven't tried subsonic, but Federal bulk constantly FTE. Minimags, Yellowjackets and Stingers all worked without a single hitch. I suspect it needs warmer ammo to operate the action, but it may need a few thousand rounds to break in a little too. Really like the upper though; with no wind its fun plinking golf balls at 100yds.
Is the charging handle standard milspec or similar to cmmg 22 charging handle?
D B on Jul 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: standard handle.
I know it specifies blackdog mags, but will this function with cmmg mags or any other company mags? what are yall paying per mag? thanks.
Perry B on Aug 31, 2018
Why not redesign this and put in a slickside upper receiver since the assist and bolt catch don’t work anyway with the bolt your using or change the BCG?

I love this upper. I love to shoot Rimfire and this is a great rifle. The only thing I wish is that the bolt would stay open when you drop the mag after the last round. This thing is one of my favorites to shoot

As Expected - good price - lots of fun
Upper is as expected. fully functional. I did get a catch 22 mag release so that it is complaint at the range.

trigger could be better, but it is what I expected.

Good Price

Great .22 LR upper for any AR lower.
This worked flawlessly with subsonic and supersonic ammo, including solid and hollow point point CCI Minimags on a standard AR lower, using various old and new Black Dog magazines. Best group was with subsonic European SK Rifle target ammo.

4/5 for Quality, 4/5 for Accuracy, 5/5 o
It's a quality upper for the price. Most decent 22lr uppers I have seen are over $500. $350 is fair. The heavy barrel might contribute to the unusual accuracy I'm getting. I think I could easily hold 1" groups, conditions permitting, at 100yds. It's more accurate than I am at that range, that is. I did have once instance of a slam-fire. I've had several FTF's with the Black Dog mag, so I'm not sure if that's a contributing factor. It was in the middle of a magazine, but I would recommend taking extra care when charging the firearm.
There's a reason some accessories are "backwards," but not enough room to explain in this caption.

Functions well
I used 4 types of ammo by Fed and Rem, hollow points and solids. Out of some 250 rounds, all but ONE fed flawlessly. The one that failed to chamber had some scrapes on the base of the lead. The same round was difficult to chamber in a bolt .22.

Without much effort, at 25 yd, I had 2" patterns which will likely improve. The only "issue" I encountered was my Magpul sights (front) seemed to need considerable depression to shoot high enough to get on target. Hopefully there's enough adjustment left to make 50 yd.

Great dedicated AR 22lr
This was just what I wanted at a good price, mounted on a P80 lower and fit was great. I have tried the cmmg conversion for the ar but having a dedicated 22lr ar was what I really wanted. Bolt would not lock open on last round so I added a catch22 bolt catch and used the MP 15/22 mags with a small shim glued to front of mag due to them being a little smaller and this thing functions perfectly with all the proper bolt hold open events and the 1/16 twist barrel is very accurate, sighted in at 50 yards and this thing just makes one 1” size hole with round after round going through the hole. Great for cheap ar15 practice and memory skills training not to mention pest control

WOW Great fun ? Dependable
Combine this barrel / bolt with a Franklyn Trigger Group and you will smile the entire time your shooting with it. Even with junk ammo, it feeds all the time. Mine is on a PSA lower. With all the stuff I bought from PSA, I have to say that this is the BEST ! You will smile the entire time you are playing with this toy. It is accurate as well. Don't wait, grab one ASAP PSA nailed this combination.

Great upper and well worth the money
This .22 dedicated upper as been amazing. I’ve got approximately 500 rounds through it so far. It’s been very accurate and extremely reliable. It’s been a ton of fun to shoot. I got it on sale and it was worth every penny.

Great price on a .22lr AR upper
Came packaged well, looks like the CMMG conversion kit and dedicated .22lr barrel. Worked very well with the three CMMG 25 round magazines I had. I put a Leupold 3x9 EFR scope on the upper and got 1" groups at 50 yards using various brands of standard velocity ammo (Aguila, CCI and Federal). It seemed to favor the Federal. If you are looking for a .22lr upper for your lower this was one of the best deals I found.

Go the dedicated 22lr upper route you’ll be glad you did
I’m really glad I went the dedicated 22lr upper route, did a basic 25yd sight in on my Vortex Diamondback 4-12 just to get started and I was shooting through the same holes. Except for the expected break in FTEs, functioned great. Even put it on my Echo II lower and went full semi-auto! according to CNN... get yourself the auto sear add-on and a Lightnin’ Grip loader - you’re gonna need it, you’ll burn through mags. CMMG makes a charging handle for this, I believe it’s filled in on the underside, I’m probably going to get one since some of the FTEs liked to get caught up under the hollow of the charging handle. Came packaged great from PSA.
Love this 22lr upper, here with my Vortex Diamondback and Viper set up for a lefty.
