Will this upper fit on a standard AR .223 lower?
Charlie R on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but be careful as you may create an NFA item and commit a felony. You should be fine putting this on an AR pistol lower.
Will this BCG, swap out with a regular AR15 to be used as a conversion kit ?
Anthony R on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No. This BCG lacks the 5.56 shaped barrel extension for regular ARs.
what type of buffer and spring are needed?
kent w on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This should not require a buffer or spring to operate. It is a blowback operated upper, not gas operated like a normal AR. Everything it needs to cycle should be built directly into the bolt carrier.
What mags does it take?
Mike H on Oct 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Black Dog ar-22 mags
Is the flash hider pinned?
Bradley on Oct 4, 2018

Will the CMMG mags that come with the CMMG 22lr conversion bolt kit work with this upper?
Michael H on Nov 21, 2018
What is the muzzle thread pattern?
P R on Nov 15, 2018
Is this barrel chambered in .22 LR or is it a standard 5.56 chamber that uses the bolt to push the round up to the rifling?
ScottyB on Nov 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Its 22lr all the way, don't risk a pressure issue with a 5.56 and to preserve the rifling stay away fron .223 in fact just run what it's made for. Sure it might work with a .223 but... it might also not. Be sensible it's not a toy.
Will this upper work with a standard AR .223 lower?
Charlie R on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this works with a standard AR-15 lower. All you need is this upper and the correct magazines.
How do you remove the bolt assembly for cleaning?
Frank on Nov 5, 2018
Will this work with S&W mp1522 mags?
David O on Nov 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes but you will need to purchase a Better Mag Adapter. Google search "better mag adapter".
Can the BCG also be purchased separately for spare part?
Don S on Oct 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Call PSA. Based on my search of the PSA website I was not able to find it for sale individually.
Will this work on a sig rattler ?
Pete H on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Sig Rattler refers primarily to the upper. The lower is the Sig MCX. I believe the answer is no, it won't.
When will this be back in stock?
Perla P on Sep 7, 2019
Is this upper compatible with full auto?
Lance B on Nov 21, 2018

I bought this and like the upper, however I am having issues with ammo. The ammo I have tried (several soft points) doesn’t feed properly, causing FTF, double feed, etc every 2-3 rounds. Any recommendations on ammo?

Totally worth it. Amazing plinker material!
Picked this up on sale because "Why not?". I am happy I did. At first it seemed to be not very accurate. I put about 1000 rounds through it with a very low rate of malfunctions - any or all of which could easily be more attributed to cheaply mass-produced WalMart bulk Federal ammo than the gun itself. What did I notice around 1000 rounds? My groups tightened up - CONSIDERABLY. A lot of folks said this gun had garbage accuracy in the reviews, and I would have said the same thing in my first few rounds with it. Just take the time to break it in before you rush to judgement. If you zero it at exactly 23 yards with 36 grain high velocity, the second zero will be about 75-77 yards and exactly 3" low at 100 yards with a muzzle velocity around 1150fps. My groupings at 23 yards are about an inch with Federal bulk 36gr and Magpul MBUS sights. Consistently able to hit a 8" gong at 100 yards with iron sights. This AR-22 pistol will be a camping/hiking/survival companion for small game and plinking. Since it doesn't use a buffer, you can get a Spike's Tactical ST-22 Plug and omit the whole buffer tube assembly if you want, making it more like a true pistol with no receiver extension. Or, you can run a folding buffer tube adapter and throw a pistol brace on it for a compact folder that can shoot in both folded and deployed positions. Any which way you build it out, this is an awesome little upper. Hope this helps!

Fun with a folding stock!
Tell you what, I slapped a folding stock on that puppy and wow. The .22lr bolt dosen't require a buffer or buffer spring in the stock so it can be used even with the stock folded to the side. Runs like a top, eats every ammo I have fed it and has become one of my favorite plinking guns.

Hopefully this will be taken care of
I would love to be able to write a good review of this upper because it looks good and it was a great price but the accuracy makes it useless. I put a 6-18x Leopold scope on it, sat at a bench and tried multiple different types of ammo. I couldn't shoot better than a 5-6" group at 50 yards. For the record, I can shoot 3/4" to even 1/2" groups at 100 yards with a good rifle. I would probably accept a 2" group at 50 but 5+, is going to have to go back

I have ran around 1500 round through this upper. It had alot more malfuctions then I was exepcting during the first few hundred rounds. I also have a psa 16" 22 upper that had malfuntions during the first few hundres rounds but since has ran perfect. The 8.5 still has stove pipes from time to time. But the ar15 22cal is the funest guns I own. Can't beat how cheap the ammo is.

Fun to shoot!
This little barrel and bolt carrier are badass. Got it for my wife, she enjoys shooting it. And the days I make the range trip solo i always end up bringing this along. Fun cheap plinking. Good value

Good but lacking in accuracy
Good- fit and finish is great for the price. Runs well. Subs don't cycle but that is expected.

Bad- So I haven't had a chance to put a whole of rounds through it, but as others have said the accuracy has been disappointing. From about 20 yds I had about a 6" spread. I'm no marksman but my 10/22 is within an inch all day. I'm hoping it gets better as it breaks in.

At the end of the day it's a fun little SBR plinker. If you're looking for a target or varmint upper, go ahead and spend the money and get a good quality one.

This thing was horribly inconsistent, it would literally shoot a 12 inch 3-4round group at 15yards with 7 varieties of ammunition. I don't know what went wrong when they made this barrel but its bad, nothing glaringly obvious I could see it just doesn't work.

I gave it 2 stars because it did actually cycle flawlessly with all the ammo I tried and Blackdog g2 mags.
Returned for a refund.

Upper receiver fit well with my Ruger lower. Chamber seems pretty tight which has caused a few FTF from the bolt not going completely into battery. Hopefully this will get better with use. I am using this with cmmg mags. Accuracy seems to be decent, didn’t expect a tack driver when purchasing.

Great Lil upper
Functioned flawless on my SBR lower. Suppressed it with the Q El Camino and it’s a ton of fun. Definitely recommend.
