What is the difference between the Freedom Classic Lower, Complete Classic Lower and the Complete Blackhawk Classic Lower?
Joe W on Apr 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I’ve bought both and while I think both lowers are great buys. I believe the Blackhawk lower has an overall cleaner break with trigger pull and different buttstock with a sling attachment.
What Caliber is it?
jordan w on Apr 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends upon which upper receiver is attached to it, which is your decision. This assembled lower will not, however, function with a round of greater length that the .223Rem or 5.56mmNATO round because of magazine length constraints. You could attach a .300 Blackout upper to it, or even an upper for a wildcat round that is not longer than the standard .223 round.
What is the difference between high deck and low deck ... ar15 lowers?
St C on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is another aspect to this question that becomes a "back in the day" thing. Hope there is enough space in this block. With the initial introduction of the M-16 for the military, the area in the receiver above the selector was milled out to accommodate the auto sear for full auto. Coming forward in time when there was an effort to civilize the M-16 as the AR-15, there was a lot of gun control opposition in that, supposedly, an AR-15 could readily be converted back to full auto M-16 capability. Colt enters the picture. They forged and machined their AR-15 receivers so there was solid aluminum above the selector that was formerly used by the auto sear. So, you probably have surmised by now that a receiver that is milled deep and wide enough for the auto sear is a "low deck" configuration. And, a receiver that is milled in such a way to prevent an auto sear usage, is a "high deck" configuration. There are variations of this used to this day to avoid conflict with Colt, such as, thicker receiver walls in the selector area, leaving some metal above the selector , thereby creating a defacto "mid deck", and some have an additional thin vertical cross wall above the selector. All to prevent the use of an auto sear without serious receiver modification.
So this will use 5.56 or 223?
Joejoe on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The caliber is determined by the chamber of the barrel on the upper receiver group. This is a lower receiver group. You have to add the upper as a separate part.
Will this lower work with any Palmetto State upper in .223 Wylde?
Steven S on Apr 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely yes!! :)
what is pictogram?
john b on Apr 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I think that means that it does not say the words "safe" and "fire", but instead has pictures indicating whether it is on "safe" or "fire"
Does it work with .22 upper?
Xavier on Apr 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, as long as the 22 upper is designed to function with a mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver. PSA 22LR Uppers will 100% function with this.
If I am correct this product has all metal parts. Am I right?
Marcus J on Apr 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You are incorrect. The sliding buttstock and the grip are not metallic. The fire-control parts are metal. The buffer tube and lower receiver itself are metal. The buffer spring and buffer (mostly) are metal. PSA sells good stuff; you do not need to worry about what you buy from PSA being junk.
Is this stock adjustable like the standard 6 position stocks?
James R on May 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes
Will this work with 7.62 x 39 upper?
Buck B on Apr 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This ar-15 lower will work with an ar-15 upper platform
Is this lower compatible with PSA 7" Nitride 5.56 NATO 1/7 Nitride 6" Lightweight M-Lok Slick Side Upper - With BCG & CH?
Martin G on Apr 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Short Answer: Yes, but it is not legal right away.

Long Answer: Combining an upper with a barrel length less than 16" on a lower receiver with a stock is considered a Short Barreled Rifle and is regulated by the National Firearms Act (NFA). In order to do this legally, you must fill out a form and pay a $200 tax. The waiting period to get approved for an NFA item is about 8 months, on average. If you like the 7" M-lok upper and don't want to wait 8 months to get out to the range, I would recommend combining it with an AR Pistol Lower. This makes the firearm a handgun, which can have a barrel length less than 16" and not be regulated by the NFA. Link below:

WILL A DIAMONDBACK UPPER BARREL.556/.223 FIT THIS LOWER?
Thomas F on May 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All military spec AR-15 uppers/lowers follow a standard pattern and are interchangeable.
What is the lbs on the trigger?
Zachary H on Oct 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: i have bought several, and all break around 6, to 6.5 lbs. which is where they are suppose to break. it's just a mil-spec trigger, and you really don't want a lighter trigger unless you are shooting competition. and most places have rules against using lighter triggers in competition,
If I change the stock out can I use this for a pistol build?
dave v on Jun 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Why not just purchase a dedicated pistol lower? PSA had plenty of options available. My favorite comes with sba3 brace.
Is the color on the stock where the Blackhawk! Logo is black or brown?
Brett A on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Looks more distressed copper or bronze... Ordering 2,and I will update when they arrive.

So this lower dont need nothing else beside the upper?
Peewee on Aug 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is a complete lower. I bought it and had planned on putting together an upper with parts from other manufacturers. But, PSA had a sale on a complete upper that I purchase. All I had to do was put the two together and push two pins into place and it was ready to fire. Only other thing you will have to buy is a magazine to hold the ammo.

ghost on Aug 7, 2018

abetico on Sep 16, 2018

Do I need a FFL to purchase a complete lower receiver?

Will this work with 762.x39 upper?

Will this lower work with my 6.5 grendel upper?
Llewellyn D on Aug 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm not a gunsmith but I've built a number of AR's including a 6.5 Grendel...as long as your Grendel upper is a mil-spec part, it should fit this lower. Since a Grendel upper is usually intended for long range shooting, the next thing I'd look at is a bit better trigger than the single-stage basic fire control system that comes with this particular lower.
What's the twist 1:17?
Robert A on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This product does not have a twist on it. The twist is in the barrel that is used in the upper receiver.
What would be the shortest barreled upper that I could put on the Blackhawk lower?
Jack C on Dec 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Depends on whether or not you have a tax stamp...the Blackhawk lower is a “rifle” lower not a “pistol” lower so anything shorter than 16” barrel would require approval from Uncle Sam; however from a functioning standpoint any standard AR-15 style upper will fit. Always check the laws.
