Fire Control Group: PSA Standard AR

Stock: M4 Style
Buffer Tube Length: Carbine
Buffer Tube Diameter: Mil-spec

Add To:

Lower: The 7075-T6 forged lower receiver is hard coat anodized, and accepts standard AR-15 fire control groups. The extended magazine release is outside of the trigger guard for safety, which allows for an AK-style release movement but also features oversize side paddles for fingertip release by the trigger finger. The KS-47 G2 receiver also accepts standard AR buffer tubes. The KS-47 G2 lower has steel reinforcements to accept AK style surplus magazines including drum-style.  This Gen2 design features a PA-10 carbine buffer spring and heavy H1 buffer to ensure reliable operation with a wide variety of aftermarket and surplus magazines. Through extensive testing, we have determined that we can only guarantee the reliability of the KS-47 G2 platform with the PA-10 carbine buffer spring and heavy H1 buffer.  The KS-47 G2 Lower will accept most aftermarket fire control groups (Geissele, etc.). However, due to the magazine catch geometry, one piece drop in triggers such as CMC style triggers will not function in KS-47 G2.

I have an ar47 7.62x39 upper I bought from you. Will this work with the upper? If not what do I have to change?
Dennis A on Feb 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No because the KS-47 upper is not mil spec and is designed only to work with the KS-47 lower.
Why isn't there a stripped KS47 lower receiver option?
Joe V on Apr 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I hope they do and release the stripped upper, but they have not so far. They would need to release the stripped upper and lower because the lower will not work with a standard Mil-Spec AR-15 Upper.
Can you remove the grip and butt stock to ship to CA so it can be made featureless? I know you can legally but can that be an option.
Robert P on Apr 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I've been asking the same thing on everything they share on social media...why not sell the lower stripped?!!! And why not sell the PSAK with a kydex grip wrap?!!! Not like it's much work do to these 2 things...
Will this lower work on a Bear Creek upper? 7.62x39 cal
Howard on Feb 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No...the upper must have additional clearance machined to accept AK mags which are wider than AR mags. Plus an AR upper will not have the mag insertion stops machined into the KS-47 Gen 2 uppers.
Will this work with a standard upper or will this only work with psa upper?
Mike G on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It will only work with a PSA ks47 upper, the upper receiver is specially designed and manufactured to accept the AK mag lower.
Can these use the ASC AR type mags as well as AK mags?
Blue on Feb 5, 2019
Does this lower come with a magazine?
Don D on Aug 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: nope, no magazine with my. But really excellent lower , love my. well love my 7.62 x39 rifle pair with a primary arms 1 x 6 x 30 scope with bullet drop is the way to go.
Any one try a drop in trigger? Which one worked for you nicely.
Alejandro E on Mar 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: STRAIGHT FROM THE PRODUCT INFORMATION "The KS-47 G2 Lower will accept most aftermarket fire control groups (Geissele, etc.). However, due to the magazine catch geometry, one-piece drop in triggers such as CMC style triggers will not function in KS-47 G2."

But sure, go ahead and buy you one.
i just ordered this will this come as a rifle lower or as other so you can build a pistol on it?
charles e on Mar 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Its a rifle lower.
Will the new fostech binary trigger work in this lower?
Dixie on Jun 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Probably not because the Echo is more of a drop in trigger. The BFS III is more of a traditional mil-spec style trigger so it should work.
Is it possible to get this lower and a upper shipped to california?
Omar C on May 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The lower, No!...not until they decide to sell a "stripped" lower receiver. Idk why they aren't doing this yet.
The upper, Yes.
Will a fostech binary triggers work in these lowers?
Shovelheadfd on Apr 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The KS-47 G2 Lower will accept most aftermarket fire control groups (Geissele, etc.). However, due to the magazine catch geometry, one piece drop in triggers such as CMC style triggers will not function in KS-47 G2.

Best choice for the gun I was building.
I wanted a low cost - but solid lower to match up with the 7.62X39 KS-47 upper - also from PSA - the fit was perfect - magazine lock up is rock solid. Better than either of my "real" AKs.

My trigger gauge gives me a 6.5 - 7 pound trigger pull reading with just under 7 pounds as the normal break (10+ test pulls). I will guess after a few thousand rounds it will settle in at just over 6 pounds. OK with me - I don't want a 4 pound trigger on my "AK".

The safety is a little ruff - but still functions as it should - the effort from safe to fire is not real smooth - I put a drop of oil on the pin/cam (whatever it is called) and it helped - but it is still not as smooth as my other ARs.

I knew before I ordered it - it does not have a - last round hold back - or any ability to lock the bolt back.

My other AKs don't have this feature either - but it would be nice.

Over all - the total value of this lower - $180 - and the $330 upper is a screaming bargain.

Test fire in 5 days - will update --

PSA for president!!!
Just picked up from my ffl yesterday was only able to run 100rds through it before dark but it ran perfect. Nice finish on the receiver and it locks up nicely with my 16’ ks47 upper no wobble at all. No problem using magpul 30rd mags haven’t tried any other mags yet but for the price this is a very nice lower. My only complaint is the trigger is a little gritty and heavy but nothing a little polish job won’t fix and most people change the trigger out anyhow. I will probably just pop it out and polish it or change it out with the psa enhanced trigger. That is the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5.
Changed out the stock with a magpul slk I had laying around. The factory one was just fine
