New and improved Palmetto State Armory PA10 Gen2 308 Upper is fully assembled and ready for your complete PA10 Gen2 Lower!

With streamlined styling and improved function, the new and improved PSA PA10 is here.  The Gen2 model offers an enhanced chamber and extraction, with a more modern appearance.

Barrel: 416R Stainless Steel, chambered in 308 WIN with a 1/10 twist, rifle-length gas. Upper is paired with a Palmetto State Armory 15" M-Lok free-float rail, low profile gas block, and an A2-style muzzle device.

Upper:  Precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, then Black anodize hardcoated to MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2.

Bolt Carrier Group: 9310 steel bolt assembly, nitride treated for durability.  8620 carrier, nitride treated, with a nitride treated gas key properly staked with grade 8 fasteners.  Charging handle is also included.

The Gen2 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 upper receivers, however we recommend matching Gen2 lowers to Gen2 uppers for best appearance.  There are external cosmetic differences when mixing Gen1 and Gen2 upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing.  Gen1 lowers will be available in the future for those who want a cosmetic match.

The AR10 platform does not enjoy a common design between manufacturers, like the AR15. As a result, there can and will be subtle differences in the parts kits of various manufacturers. Some parts, like the fire control group, are shared with the AR15 platform to preserve the options for upgrading. For best results, we recommend only using PSA PA10 parts with our uppers and lower receivers. We do not recommend using other manufacturers parts in our products.

Will this fit a dpms lower?
Jason F on Apr 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, BUT! You'd be better off just buying the lower from PSA. The finish will match. The parts, like the pivot pin (front takedown pin) are, from my reading, different lengths. Trigger groups are all the same as an AR-15. It's just guaranteed to buy the less expensive half of the gun from PSA, if you have already bought the upper half, which is about twice the price of a fully assembled lower receiver group.
Are there no psa 80% lowers available? I like to do the machine work myself, more enjoyable than just slapping parts together. If not are PSA uppers made on an ar platform or dpms platform?
Phil on Aug 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: PSA uses the DPMS pattern. Tenn arms says their 80% lowers fit Palmetto uppers.
I would like to put an adjustable gas block on mine. What ones will fit? Thx!
Mike R on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would think any low profile for a 0.75" diameter barrel would do the trick. I looked at putting one of mine on but frankly I did not need it. It appears the low profile one I have would have been a perfect fit.
What is the weight of this upper?
Ted K on Aug 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 6 pounds and 9.2 ounces
Is this compatible with 7.62x51 Nato?
Ron L on Apr 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Should be no issue. In general the .308 round tends to run a higher max pressure then the 7.62 NATO. The rounds are dimensionally the same.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, and yes.
Will this fit my Spikes Tactical lower?
J L on Aug 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Can’t say. AR-10s are not standardized like AR-15s. Would need to ask someone who has tried it before.
What is the best lower to pair with this upper?
Timothy T on Oct 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In my opinion the A2 lower is a good option to go with this upper. It has a rifle length buffer and it has more weight to it. So it reduces recoil considerably.
I have a gen 1 lower. Would this work ok other than some cosmetic differences?
Mark G on Jun 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It says the answer right in the description.

"The Gen2 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 upper receivers, however we recommend matching Gen2 lowers to Gen2 uppers for best appearance. "
Is this unit compatible with my grizzly multi-cal?
Israel E on Apr 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I’m no gunsmith so I don’t know for sure, but I would not bet on it. When it comes to AR-10’s it’s more manufacturer specific and less mill spec.
Will this cycle 308 winchester better than the Gen 1?
G S on Mar 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have put about 5 boxes of ammo through it without a hang up cycles very smoothly
Whats your thoughts on running steel case ammo threw this upper?

BEST ANSWER: Just fine. I've had no problems.
Can the A2 Style Flash Hider be removed to be replaced wish a muzzle break?
martin on Apr 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The A2 is not pinned and welded. Remove it and a 5/8" - 24 threaded muzzle brake can be put on.
Barrel Profile A 2 Style is that light or heavy profile barrel ? I hope its light barrel .
DONALD H on Oct 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Extremely heavy. The barrel itself weighs close to 4 lbs by itself. It's the heaviest barrel I own.
What is the difference between these 2 uppers?

PSA Gen2 PA-10 20
PSA Gen2 PA-10 20" Rifle-Length .308 WIN 1:10 Stainless Steel 15" M-lok Upper with BCG and CH - 5165447551
BEST ANSWER: They are the same other than BCG and Charge Handle which I can't verify because it was and isn't stated what brand, type or part numbers to tell you what they put in the upper kit. Also the add just states some specs for the BCG in the add and not manufacture or brand in add.In answering this question I think the price on this clearance sale is less than what I paid in 2018 for my upper 308 with same SK # according to their search looking what up what I received. Hope this helped.
What barrel manufacturer?
Dools on Mar 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should me on the invoice ?? Let me know
What is A 2 style ?
DONALD H on Oct 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The description "A2" is generally used to describe either the barrel profile or the upper receiver configuration. In this case, you're probably looking at the barrel profile (the upper resembles the 'A4' profile on the AR15's only bigger)
What kind of quad rail system would fit on this rifle? Trying to make a mk11 mod0 clone.
Michael S on May 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You might consider using M-Lock rails on the existing fore end. There is very little consistency between manufacturers when it comes to AR-10s.. It might be a cheaper route that is just as effective and still gives you your mall ninja mk110 look. Good Luck.

Great gun, great price, deer beware.
Bought the gun and it took about 2 weeks for the upper and lower to get shipped, but that was expected. Assembly of the upper and lower took about 5 minutes. The upper needed greased before I shot it because I had to use the assist to get the bolt closed. BUT, after some grease and working the bolt a few times, it worked great. Hardly any recoil, the upper and lower fit together very snug no slop or wiggling,no jams, and no complaints. For an AR10 308 that cost less than 700 bucks it turned out to be a right gem. Thanks PSA for a great rifle.

Excellent value. Everything works fine and I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Fit perfect on the PSA lower I bought. Went to the range one time so far to set up scope, no problems at all. Nice firearm for a good price.

Super Impressed, Great Value! Solid Deal.
I ordered a completed lower and this upper and had both within 8 business days. I did a few upgrades before I took it out. Odin Works Atlas 7 Comp and a Rock River Arms NM 2 Stage Trigger. I broke the barrel in as I do all of mine and I would suggest doing so. I shot 1 round, ran 3 patches (front and back) and repeated for 5 rounds. On the second round of doing this there were some flecks of shiny silver (small burrs from rifling?) which is very common while doing in this process. After the first 5 rounds I shoot 5 rounds, run patches 5 rounds, run patches, 5 rounds. Then 2 10 round cycles. (I do this with the cheapest brass cased ammo I can get my hands on, in this case Perfecta 147 grn. With that ammo during the break in I got 4 in groups at 100 yards (I get 3" groups with this ammo with my precision bolt action) I then shot some 5 round groups with 168 Federal Sierra Match king and got a little less than 2" groups (see picture attached).

I'm very happy with this and my other PSA rifle. I would recommend these rifles to anyone who asks me.

Good upper
I already reviewed this upper but that asked me to do it again. Maybe they really like my reviews - LOL. For the money I received an assembly that shoots well once a perfect handload is found. Will shoot shotgun patterns with factory ammo.
