Why does this not have the last round bold hold-open? Is last round hold-open available on an AR-9 that uses Glock mags?
Jim H on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: PSA used to sell LRBHO AR-9's but I believe there were problems with them so they stopped selling them. My recommendation is to look into FM Products 9MM lowers. They are reasonably priced and have LRBHO. They also work with PSA 9MM uppers.
I see this AR-9 in a similar build except it has a "Billet 7075 T-6 Aluminum" lower. Is there a "better" lower then the other, advantages / disadvantages....likes n dislikes? And a recommended Red Dot optic for this if you can. Thanks.

Is this classified as a SBR or only a pistol CCW permit?
Stephen J on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It has a shockwave pistol brace, so it is classified as a pistol. As far as needing a conceal carry permit to keep it on you in a bag or in your car, it would depend on your local laws.

Is the barrel easy to change? I have been looking at these for a few days, and wanted the 8 inch, but they are now out of stock. Will get the 4 and replace with an 8 later if they are easy to change.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, you just need the proper tools equipment.
Can an SB Tactical SBA3 brace be added to this pistol without making it an SBR?

What is the inside diameter (ID) of this handguard? Wanting to see if my can will fit or if I have to get the 8" version. ~thx
EricX on Nov 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The outside diameter (OD) of the flash can is 1 3/16" (2.9 cm or between 2.9 and 3 cm). I would say there's a 1/32" gap between the inside diameter (ID) of the handguard and the OD of the flash can.

COOL AR9
Just finished shooting 500 round with only one jam and supplied mag broke. The jam was on the third round and I thought I made a mistake, but after clearing it 497 with no problems. I should have purchased it with the adjustable stock because if you don't have a allan key it is what it is. For the price this little guy is very COOL! The ammo was multiple brands and some steel case. The broken mag isn't an issue since I have plenty of Glock's.

PSA Quality Control Questions????
My purchased gun will not eject mags. I've tried multiple brands of magazines. Literally lots of force to even get them out of the mag well. After a phone call to PSA it is getting sent back for repairs. I've been a PSA customer for years, but in light of two back to back orders with quality control issues, I'm very concerned. Additionally, 15 busness days from time of return to get gun repaired...Hopefully these issues are just my bad luck, but be aware this is an issue.

Fantastic little piece with amazing value for the money
I’m not a veteran gun owner and also a pretty poor marksman- that being said I cannot say more good things about this wonderful little piece that I purchased from psa after conducting a pretty detailed research of the various options for a 9 mm pistol- it is so damn accurate it’s insane - right on the money every time- never jams- the glock mags worked like a charm- one upgrade you definitely want to make is the blade- I hated it and got a SBA3 brace and it’s absolutely wonderful to add in instead of the kak industries blade.

Highly recommend it
Bought this awhile ago and love it. No issues and put a Sig red dot sight on it. This travels with me on road trips and it so accurate. Would definitely recommend them and enjoy. Thanks PSA.

Decent, maybe not the best for defense
It had several jams in the first handful of mags but since, has been fairly reliable. Trigger is pretty standard. Comes with an excellent brace. Certain glock compatible mags dont work. The bolt hold-open is a joke. It gets the slightest movement and slams home without touching the release. Flash can is so big in diameter it makes the mlok slots unusable and theres no good alternative that wont put the muzzle behind the end of the handguard

Get the gun! and Glock brand mags for it
I'll start off with the couple negatives right away, first being I waited for a couple weeks for the 8" to be and stock and finally gave up and got the 4" and after it shipped the 8" was back in stock. second is the stock mag they sent literally broke on my first time shooting it(only loaded in 10 rounds)

Anyways, I was prepared and got a couple Glock mags so I had extras. I've put roughly 700-800 rounds through it so far with zero issues, and once the red dot I put on it was sighted in it was hitting an 8" gong from 50 yards probably 7-8/10 times. I cannot believe how much fun this is to shoot, we hardly touched the AR15 on our last range trip. If you're thinking about getting one but are on the fence, do it. you won't be disappointed (as long as you get extra mags). as a side note whatever sight you get for it make sure it is at least an inch off the rail, otherwise your nose basically rests on the charging handle.

Nothing Hidden
4.5 inch barrel. I am skeptical about mail order anything one can't try on. I knew the down sides claims before I bought like last round open. Ok that takes a little getting used to but the good stuff, THIS LITTLE GUY IS AWESOME. Can not tell you after 100 yds but anything between-dead on. Shoot slow, shoot fast, 115gr to 147gr no prob. Thanks PSA, great firearm, reasonable price.
