Why does this not have the last round bold hold-open? Is last round hold-open available on an AR-9 that uses Glock mags?
Jim H on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: PSA used to sell LRBHO AR-9's but I believe there were problems with them so they stopped selling them. My recommendation is to look into FM Products 9MM lowers. They are reasonably priced and have LRBHO. They also work with PSA 9MM uppers.
Will standard AR trigger group drop in 9m lower receiver?
Bob A on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, all of my AR-9 lower receivers have mil-spec or higher end (Geissele/Hiperfire) triggers in them.
What is the over all length on this?
Charles A on Nov 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Fully collapsed and with the brace secured to the tube it measures at 20 5/8”.
Fully extended and with the brace secured to the tube it measures at 24 1/16”.
Does the flash can come off? I’ve been trying to unscrew it and it won’t budge.
Logan on Nov 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Use 2 adjustable wrenches.
Will a ptp ranger suppressor fit the muzzle?
Jeff M on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: With the brake removed and the proper thread pitch FIXED Barrel adapter it should. If you get the Flash Can removed send Pictures and info to Josh on Face Book PM or via the website contact. I shoot for them and work with them when they are busy. JM

How do I attach mlok attachments to this hand guard? The flash can will not allow it...
Matthew P on Nov 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I had that problem trying to add an angle grip on the forward srcrew . I was able to add some washers under the head of the screw effectively shortening the threads .
This solved my problem , I hope it helps you.
What is the inside diameter (ID) of this handguard? Wanting to see if my can will fit or if I have to get the 8" version. ~thx
EricX on Nov 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The outside diameter (OD) of the flash can is 1 3/16" (2.9 cm or between 2.9 and 3 cm). I would say there's a 1/32" gap between the inside diameter (ID) of the handguard and the OD of the flash can.
What is the overall length?
Mark S on Nov 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Fully collapsed and with the brace secured to the tube it measures at 20 5/8”.
Fully extended and with the brace secured to the tube it measures at 24 1/16”.
Is the barrel easy to change? I have been looking at these for a few days, and wanted the 8 inch, but they are now out of stock. Will get the 4 and replace with an 8 later if they are easy to change.

I see this AR-9 in a similar build except it has a "Billet 7075 T-6 Aluminum" lower. Is there a "better" lower then the other, advantages / disadvantages....likes n dislikes? And a recommended Red Dot optic for this if you can. Thanks.

Can you ship this to Maryland with 10 round magazines instead of the 31 round magazine?

Is this classified as a SBR or only a pistol CCW permit?
Stephen J on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It has a shockwave pistol brace, so it is classified as a pistol. As far as needing a conceal carry permit to keep it on you in a bag or in your car, it would depend on your local laws.
Anyone shoot self defense hollow points in this ?
mojobama on Mar 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have yet to shoot any hollow points through it. However I have yet to have a feeding issue. About 1000 rounds down range. I did buy Glock mags for it, for aesthetic reasons . I would suggest polishing the feed ramp for hollow points however.
It’s a fun shoot and I’ve enjoyed upgrading it as well!
Have fun!!
Can an SB Tactical SBA3 brace be added to this pistol without making it an SBR?
Steven O on Jan 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it's a pistol brace therefore it's still a pistol
Does it come with mag also or I have to buy that what about the barrel?
Jacquez T on Jan 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It comes as pictured -ready to go with mag. I don’t care for those see thru style mags but they work fine.
Is this legal in CA?
Jose L on Dec 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You need to give Nancy a call to be sure but with the pictured magazine , I would say NO
Is the Mag release button aluminum or still plastic?
Rrotz on Nov 7, 2018

WOW! Another Shooter
I am very pleased with the PSA Gen4 4" 9mm. I have had ZERO malfunctions after 500rds of 9mm ball ammo. Every single Glock magazine (30 of them) worked flawlessly! I could not be happier. Thank You Palmetto.

Sent back as soon as it I got it out of the box
First, fit and finish looked good. I watched a lot of YouTube videos of guys impressed by this pistol and I expect most of them to be that good. Mine was most likely an anomaly. She wouldn’t insert a magazine unless you depressed the release first, and the release itself would catch in the open position 7 of 10 attempts. PSA was quick with a UPS return label and I’m waiting on a repaired/replaced pistol so that I may regale you with tales of how good it is as I expect it to be exactly that.

Haven't shot yet but I thought I might add/warn
The flashtube makes it hard to add rail items. You just gotta take it off to add anything on the bottom or sides. Just a heads up but I like the tight clearance!

First 50 rounds
Really like this pistol, the provided ETS mag. follower jammed up and caused a non-feeding issue, but pistol is great.

Great AR pistol
this gun is very well made and everything fits tight. I put a heavy coat of oil on it first trip to the range and shot 100 rounds from several different size mags without any issues at all.
I highly recommend this firearm. It’s fun to shoot too.
