since there is a real limited quantity of barrels available can you use this lower with another brand upper?
j n on Apr 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I believe the 9mm lowers are proprietary but call PSA Customer Service to confirm.
Can I register this as a pistol ?
Steve T on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not with a butt stock, a barrel shorter than 16” and it is concidered a short barrel rifle, remove the butt stock and install a forearm brace, it is a pistol
What Glock magazines fit this? 17, 19 ect.
Steve327 on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm pretty sure the only difference is the depth of the mag-well, should fit either
what buffer comes with this lower?
c s on Apr 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 5.5 oz is what mine came with
What type of buffer is included?
Daniel Y on May 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It's a carbine sized buffer that weighs about 5.4 oz. With a standard 37 coil spring.
So can this be used with uppers less than 16”? In other words, is it a pistol lower or rifle lower?
Justin D on Jan 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Depends what upper you put on it. 16' or longer it's a rifle. That's the quick answer. I use the lower in two configurations. One as a rifle with a adjustable buttstock and one as a pistol with a pistol brace which is ATF compliant for barrels or uppers less than 16". Eithsr way...very happy with PSA.
Will this except Glock 22 mags?
Phillip S on Jun 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It will accept any double stack 9mm Glock mag. Glock 22 is a .40 caliber. My Glock 23 .40 caliber mags fit, but I have never tried firing it with those mags using 9mm.
Does this have last round bolt hold open?
mcflip81 on Jan 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No it does not. The bolt can be locked open manually.
first i want let you know i am new to building ar's. so ,how do i insert a glock mag into this mag. i saw on one answer, it has to be on a closed bolt.????
birdleg on Aug 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I know the lower will take some getting used to, it looks a little-odd. But the magazine will seat right up into the magwell, you'll get used to it! You don't need to be over-aggressive with it, but just like a .223/5.56 magazine, just slap it in & once you've done that, it should be locked into place, in the magwell. Then just put it into battery, by pulling back on the charging-handle & letting it go. You will then have a live-round in the chamber. Then it's just a matter a disengaging your safety, when you're ready to fire.
Can this lower be used with a Davidson Defense 9mm upper in 4.5"?
Kyle T on Apr 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don’t see why it shouldn’t I have bought several lowers from PSA and use different uppers. Radical arms makes a good upper
What is it about this particular lower that doesn't lock the bolt back after the last round? Is there a way to change this without any severe modification?
Gregory M on Apr 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There is no mechanism that recognizes when the magazine is empty to engage the bolt catch.

I do not think there is a way to modify it. There are some companies that make a lower with the Last round bolt hold open feature
Will this work with any milspec 9mm upper?
David on Apr 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have fired it with 3 different uppers of different companies. So far no problems encountered.
Will this lower work with the Gen 4 upper?
James W on Apr 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: i have not ran a 4th gen upper with this. However I have ran two non PSA uppers from BCA and Alpha that run awesome so if the upper your wanting to run is a PSA it’s my opinion it will run it. Hope I was able to help

PSA PA-9 4" 9mm 6" Lightweight M-Lok Railed Upper with BCG & CH - 5165449133
BEST ANSWER: Call PSA customer service and they will likely have the answer. Just be aware that if your upper barrel is less than 16 inches you now have a short barreled rifle and must follow mandates of the NFA.
I’ve ordered the 9mm classic lower. I think i’m Going to want an extended mage release. I’ve ask PSA about this but they are no help. Has anyone put an extended mag release and if so, what product did you use?
Tom L on Jun 5, 2019
Preparing for Cerakote, and trying to figure out disassembly of the lower. Does the ejector, bolt catch, and mag catch use tiny hex head screws in place of the usual roll pins? That's what it appears to be.
Gregory M on May 26, 2019
Any problem inserting fully loaded magazine? Does the mags drops freely? Im a competition shooter (uspsa and steel). I had an early model billet 9mm lower and i can only load my ets (31 rounds) mags up to 25 rounds if i load it more it wont fit.

Seriously, do it.
After a couple thousand rounds and a few complete teardowns this thing is still flawless. Best deal for billet 9mm lowers that are awesome quality.

Poor execution of a complete product line
I'd love to say anything about this lower. It seems pretty solid, but PSA hasn't been able to offer a 16" upper for months and months, despite stating you'd better not pair their stuff with other makers. No explanation, no eta. It's getting real aggravating.

PCC Heaven
I assembled the PSA lower with a Foxtrot Mike upper because the PSA upper has been on backorder for months. It runs like a top. I would give it 5 stars if I had the PSA upper. It goes great with my PSA AR15 and PSA10
Here is a picture of my PSA AR9 lower with a Foxtrot Mike upper along with My PSA AR15 and AR 10.

PSA 9mm Glock Lower
I purchased the lower along with a PSA 9mm 16" Carbine 13.5" Keymod Upper with Hybrid G-9 BCG. Put them together and ran 500+ rounds ranging from 115gr range ammo to 147gr +P and have yet to have a failure to feed or a failure to fire. The carbine functions perfectly and required no break in period. AR9's from other manufactures cost $750+ so the PSA carbine is a real value. You can pay more but you wont get more value.

Good value
I picked up my complete Glock billet (non-BHO) lower on sale from the store for $179 no issues at all running it with a PSA hybrid BCG in a RRA 16" upper. So far I've only tried factory Glock G17 mags and they run 115 & 124 gr fmj rounds without fail. Some have reported feed issues with hollow points but that's not uncommon for Glock systems. PSA does carry another Glock lower that DOES have BHO this one does not. No issues seating a full mag on a closed bolt unlike my other Colt patterned 9mm AR pistol so no BHO isn't an issue for me. Like other PSA parts lowers & uppers I've bought in the past works fine and great deal for the money.

Awesome product!
Slapped on my upper and went to the range 100 rounds of ammo through it without a hiccup.
