Are these high shelf or low shelf?
Pat P on May 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The PSA M4A1 lowers are all low shelf, per Josiah at PSA.
The way these are marked, can they be used for a pistol build? Tks Ray
Mary H on May 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: ANY lower can be built as a pistol, regardless of engravings. The only thing you cannot do is initially build it as a rifle then later convert it to a pistol. If you build it as a pistol from the get-go, then you will be fine in the eyes of the ATF. And additional, but unnecessary, step you can take for piece of mind is to have PISTOL engraved on the mag well lower.
Will this make me a operator?

BEST ANSWER: Yes unless you are in California then it just makes you a felon

hookie on May 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Sarcasm doesn't read well - so just NO should suffice. Anyone who even asks this question need to read up on NFA regulations before they end up arrested.
Is this upper machined to accept an auto sear assembly ?
Alan J on May 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No Mr. ATF man. Nice try though
Are fire control markings on both sides of the receiver?
G L on May 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I just received a consecutive numbered pair and both receivers were fully marked on the right and left sides. I have never been able to successfully attach a photo, so you'll have to take me at my word.
Can I still get this in California?

Exactly as Advertised
Initially I was disappointed in the finish and thought I had received a Blemished product, as the receiver appeared to have blotches in the finish. I sprayed it down with Gun Oil and then rubbed it dry with a sturdy towel. Completely Satisfied!

Regular Mil-Spec Lower
Yes, this is a regular Mil-Spec lower. A Mil-Spec lower with "different" engravings on both sides, that's all. It had the engravings I desired so I bought it. It's the same great quality as all the other PSA lowers I've purchased. I plan on buying another to replicate the rifle I carried in the Corps. While it may seem obvious, I'll state it anyway; yes, it says AUTO on both sides. NO it does NOT make your rifle an automatic rifle. It's just an engraving.

Super for an M4 build
I was looking for lowers to build an M4 clone and these are perfect for the project. The expected quality it there, and so is the PSA value. If this were a Colt...well, I shudder to consider the price!

perfect for a clone build colt 6933
I had been holding out for a colt lower with govt markings. I was using a stealth lower from PSA until I found one. Then PSA released this lower at a fraction of the price of the competitors. I can say the quality, fit finish is on par with the competitors and works with my 90's complete colt 6933 upper. I am very happy with the lower and am ordering another one to replace my DPMS lower I have on my 10.5 PSA upper.
