Palmetto State Armory is proud to introduce a lighter weight version of the PA-10!  The PX-10 is designed to bridge the gap between the larger build of an AR-10 and the slimline feel of an AR-15.  The new PX-10 18" Mid-Length .308 Winchester Stainless M-Lok Lightweight MOE CTR EPT Rifle is the perfect solution to give you the power of the .308 cartridge without the heavy & bulky feel of a traditional AR-10 platform.

Barrel: Machined from 416R stainless steel, chambered in .308 WIN with a 1:10 twist rate and a midlength gas system. Upper is paired with a PSA 16.5" Lightweight M-Lok Free Float rail that is unique to this platform, a .750 gas block, and an A2-style muzzle device.

Upper:  Precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, then black anodize hardcoated to MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2.

Bolt Carrier Group:  9310 steel bolt assembly, nitride treated for durability.  8620 carrier, nitride treated, with a nitride treated gas key properly staked with grade 8 fasteners.  The X-10 bolt carrier group profile is smaller in diameter than the PA-10 BCG helping reduce weight of the rifle to increase mobility.  Charging handle included.

Lower: Precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, these lowers are then Black anodize hardcoated to MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2.   With an AR-15 style EPT fire control group, a Magpul CTR Stock, and a Magpul AR-15 Grip.  The ability to use AR-15 parts in this .308 AR rifle increases your ability to customize the lower to fit your needs with the more widely available AR-15 products.

This is called a lighter weight version of the PA-10. What is it's total weight?
Melvin T on Jul 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 8 pounds
You say that the BCG is smaller in diameter. Is it about the size of a regular AR15 BCG with a regular AR10/308 sized bolt? Just how different is this rifle from the PA10? Is the upper receiver slightly smaller to accommodate the smaller BCG? Thanks!
Dennis W on Jul 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This rifle appears to be PSA's version of the DPMS Gen 2 Small frame .308 rifle. DPMS recently produced this design to be an improvement over the old and heavy DPMS LR-308 pattern rifles. This "PX-10" (DPMS Gen 2) pattern rifle seems superior to me. The only problem with this newer design is that it is proprietary and many parts do not interchange.

BEST ANSWER: Because the BCG and barrel extension are unique to this rifle, at this time you'd have to send your barrel off to someone specializing in ARs. They could reuse the barrel extension on a new blank and have to drill the gas port as well as thread the muzzle. I would send the bolt as well so they could headspace it.
Even though the bcg is smaller in diameter than the normal Pa-10, could you run the larger diameter Pa-10 bcg in this platform?
Jordan S on Jul 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, you cannot do that.

Can you get this with a 18in or 20in barrel made in 4150 CMV and Nitrided inside and out?

BEST ANSWER: Contact PSA Customer Service.
What charging handles are compatible with this model?
Caleb H on Jul 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't say for certain. But they are the same dimensions as standard ar15 charging handles, just an inch or so longer. What I ended up doing, was replaying the latch, with a SI extended latch(just the latch) you can get for AR15 charging handles.
Will this weapon accept DPMS 20 round magazines?
Chris on Jul 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If it’s the SR25 .308 variety then yes. LR .308 type by ProMag is too tight for mine.

Over all I give this rifle 9/10. Would be a 10. If it wasn't for the rail that's factory installed.
It's a nice rifle. All tho I don't like the hand guard. I am going to change it to a m-loc style hand guard. In order to install a picatinny rail for attachments. Tou have to remove rail. Which it's a pain in the neck. Due to the style.

Excellent AR-10
Hands down a quality gun and at a hell of a price. I ran 2 boxes of ammo through it as soon as I got it and it didnt skip a beat. Shooting at 100 yards while sighting in the scope we were holding nice groups for the most part. Excellant custom service and great quality. I've bough from PSA before and I'll continue to give them my business.

Not happy with customer service
Received my px 10 from my ffl and upon initial inspection fit and finish plus dry function seemed excellent .got it home and did a more extensive take down and found a bent firing pin .e-mailed customer service to request a replacement and was told item was not available for order or shipping and was told to send back complete firearm for repair .not going to hassle with that as I believe I should not have to.i will find a way to repair it myself .i don't think I will do business with psa again

Response from Palmetto State Armory
We do apologize for that. We cannot send out just the firing pin, but we can have your BCG brought in for repair or exchange. Please contact Customer Service so we may resolve this issue.

Psa px-10
It's lighter than dpms ar 10 ,shoots really accurate. The only grip I have is that I wanted to get a charging handle with extended latch, and can't find one since it's longer than ar15, but shorter than ar 10 charging handle. However it did get shipped fast

Amazing!
This rifle is an absolute bargain. For the price I paid I would have been happy with 2MOA. During my first load workup with TAC and 165 grain Sierra Game Kings it grouped 44 and 44.5 grains under 3/4” at 100 yards. This was with the stock trigger which is heavy but doesn’t have any creep. Very impressed guys; this one is a winner!

Easily the best value!
Added POF 3.5lb trigger and an adjustable gas block and boy let me tell you what! Sweet shooter and it's well within 1moa with best 5 shot group of 168g match ammo being .87" @100yd with a 4x14x44 scope. Nothing fancy but for $1000 I have a very nice rifle that I'm extremely happy with! We NEED PX-65 uppers with 22" barrels ASAP, PSA!!!!!!

Awesome rifle!
Awesome rifle for the price. Put about 100 rounds through it with no issues. Getting about 1 inch groups @100 yards same as my BCM AR15 that costed me twice as much. Very impressed with this px10.

I bought this rifle on July 5th if I remember correctly. I added a light weight Aero Precision mount with a Nikon scope. So far, I've only put three rounds through it to test basic functionality. It performed flawlessly. No FTF or FTE. Winchester Super X 150 Grain.

Great for the money
I was really hesitant and skeptical because of all the people talking about how you can't use this or that with this ar10 or that at 10. But when I got to. Thinking about it and looking at the rifles I have, I don't typically part out my guns much so this want an issue for me.

Since there is no "standard" for the ar10 so every manufacturer is a little different. I stopped wprreaboit it and grabbed this when it was on sale... And I am glad I did.

It functions and shoots flawlessly. I can't speak for MOA, but at 200 yards I was wearing out a face sized steel target. This was while prone and with a bipod, but I was only using iron sights, running tula ammo, and shooting pretty rapidly.

The only cons I have with this rifle are:
The bolt was really snug when I first got it. But lubricating the rifle and putting some rounds through it cleared that right up.
The rear take down pin is really tight. I have to use something to push it out and to push it the last little way back in. But that doesn't impede the guns function.
I really wish it didn't come with a stainless barrel. This one is personal preference, and at the pricei payed it wasn't a huge deal to have a stainless barrel. It's nostly covered by the handguard anyway.

You really can't go wrong with this rifle, or anything made by PSA. They have pretty much become my exclusive provider for AR parts and guns.
Loving this thing
The Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x scope has got the better rericle.
