Why are you not hammer forging the barrel as well? Until you do this AK will not be comparable to a combloc AK.

Great rifle lower handguard loose (fixed)
No cant on the sights. Super straight shooter. Nice wood. Lower hand guard was loose. I fixed it by installing a polish ak lower hand guard tension spring.

Not perfect but a solid rifle and great value.
First of all the rifle is beautiful. Rivets are good, finish uniform, stock and grips are clean. Front sight is straight, everything is square. Sighting in I only had to make a slight windage adjustment, the vertical was right on the money.

Accuracy seems good, but I haven't mounted a scope or done much bench shooting beyond sighting in. I was able to show up my buddies shooting ARs at a 8" plate dueling tree @ 70 yrds offhand. No malfunctions of and kind, about 120 rounds so far, wolf, tula, mostly fmj, some hp.

Two issues. First, the lower fore grip is a little loose. Not enough that it feels unsteady, but just enough that it makes some noise every time I grab it. Not a huge deal. Second, not all my mags fit. The older magpul mags and my Polish steel magazines are good to go, but I can't seat my magpul gen 3's with the steel reinforced tabs and some of my plastic waffle mags won't seat either.

Bottom line, I'm glad I bought it, I wish I could give it 5 stars but it did have the two issues mentioned. Overall if looks and feels great, and wants to be shot.

Best AK you can buy for $600
I ordered mine the day they were released, it took 12 days to get shipped and arrive at my FFL. Initial inspection, The rifle was packed well for shipping, had lots of metal shavings inside the receiver, was well oiled, finish is good. I always clean a new gun before shooting it.
With it sighted in the front post is pushed almost all the way to the left. I installed a AGL trigger even tho the stock trigger felt ok.
I have put 500 rounds thru it so far. No problems no FTF no FTE, runs like a cream puff. Every time I squeeze the trigger it goes Bang.
I am using Pmags gen2 and 3 along with croatian surplus mags, no problems. I love it. It's not perfect but pretty darn close, Especially for $600.

Great rifle
I'm very happy with my rifle. It arrived in perfect condition. All rivets were set well, the fit and finish is great. The sights were very close to dead on, as I only had to adjust the elevation a little. I am 330 rounds into it and it has been running flawlessly so far.

The trigger is smooth and suprisingly crisp. I was pleased to find a pin retaining plate installed - a nice touch.

I'm impressed.
My daughter trying it out. It's her new favorite.

Mine Has A Few Issues
I would like to mention that I also own a GB2 Blem and the only issue with that one is the wooden bottom handguard is loose and had a piece of wood wedged in there. I fixed that issue by putting on Magpul furniture, and now everything is nice and tight.

The GF3 that I received, I have noticed a few things.

1. The muzzle break has a minor gap (like a half turn loose before fully tight/closed)

2. The magazine well seems tighter than my GB2 and I have to slam a few magazines in there to hear them click/lock in.

3. The charging handle sometimes stops about 1/2" or 1/4" before fully closing and locking in to the chamber. (I must mention that I have not fired these weapons yet, so I do not know if this will cause any malfunctions)

I am hoping that replacing the recoil spring with an ALG spring will fix the charging handle/bolt closing issue and or just wearing in after time. I am not ready to send this back to Palmetto State Armory just yet, but I am glad it has a lifetime warranty. I wish I could have given this a 5 star rating but I have to give an honest review.

Rifle has a loose lower hand grip
Picked up this g3 red ak today. Rifle is ok except for 1 issue. The front lower hand grip was not fitted to the rifle correctly. It is loose with front to back movement. I have contacted PSA via email and will see about getting this resolved.

Received a Blem
After almost 2 dozen orders with PSA and no issues, I am not happy with my recent purchase of this AK (my second one from them). It's beautiful red stock came with a gouge in the wood, right on top. No so bad that I refused delivery. Maybe I should have. I know it will be marked up when I use it, but it's different if I cause the scratches and marks than getting one new already with bad wood. Took photos and sent them to customer service. They told me it is normal on a new wooden stock gun to have gouges and marks. They did give me a coupon discount on a future order, but I would have preferred if I could exchange the stock. Just FYI if you order this gun. Pics attached. Maybe I am being too picky - you be the judge.
Would you consider this a blem?
