The Special Expander Die features a unique design that performs four essential functions to improve precision. It begins with a smooth entry radius, followed by the ideal expanding diameter for a proper press fit of the bullets. The upper section of the expander has a concentric ring that slightly enlarges the case mouth beyond the bullet diameter, improving bullet alignment for more consistent seating. Additionally, the final taper can create a "bellmouth" on the case mouth, particularly useful when reloading lead bullets, to ensure better alignment and reliable performance during the reloading process.
