Is this the same ruger 22 that ruger started with ?

BEST ANSWER: Ruger has produced many 10-22 variations since 1964. The original 10/22 had an 18.5" barrel. This 10-22 has a 16.12" barrel and is considered the compact version.

Won't own another one
Gun is crap plain and simple why do I need to buy upgraded trigger from Ruger for this gun if they know it needs it then put it in to begin with should come with a scope need at least a 3x9x40 to be accurate bolt not smooth Savage makes a much better 22 rifle then Ruger now days.
