The design of the Ruger Mk IV Lite improves upon the previous generations while maintaining the classic feel of the original Ruger pistols. The Mark IV features a new, easy one-button takedown for quick field stripping and cleaning. Pressing the button in the back of the frame allows the barrel-receiver assembly to tilt up and off the grip frame without the use of tools. The pistol also maintains the cylindrical receiver and bolt design characteristic of the original Ruger Mark I pistol.
The construction of the Ruger Mark IV Lite is simple yet durable, providing reliable performance whenever you need it. The cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity, while the Internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent sight-to-barrel alignment and higher accuracy potential. The Ruger Mk 4 also features a contoured ejection port, a push-button magazine release, a drop-free mag system, easy-to-grasp bolt ears, and an ambidextrous safety. This 22/45 Lite model also has an adjustable rear sight and a factory-installed Picatinny rail, an aerospace-grade aluminum receiver, a threaded 4.4" barrel, a polymer grip frame, and a checkered 1911-style grip.
