The MB74 receiver is patterned after the original milled Bulgarian receivers, but with the added feature of an integrated AR buffer extension
Each 2 lb receiver is machined from a solid 15 lb block of US sourced 4140 steel, then heat treated to an RC41 hardness
The MB74 receiver is designed to accept 22mm press-in barrels, and is compatible with any stamped or milled AK-74 parts kit (some fitting required)
The barrel journal is cut to 0.866 inches diameter after heat treat
The target interference between the barrel and barrel journal is 0.001 inches, the absolute maximum interference would be 0.0015 inches
It is important to measure your barrel to ensure that it will fit the MB74 receiver
