The pistol is equipped with a Beavertail frame, front strap checkering and SIGLITE Night Sights for optimal performance in low-light conditions. Additionally, new for 2024, it comes standard with optics-ready capabilities, making it even more versatile for various shooting needs. While the P229 Elite Compact does not feature a manual safety, it is essential to understand that manual safeties are designed to prevent accidental discharge by mechanically blocking the trigger, but they should never replace safe firearm handling practices. When carrying any firearm, it is your responsibility to ensure the trigger is not unintentionally pressed under any circumstances. Always handle your firearm with caution, especially when there is a round in the chamber, as pressing the trigger will result in firing the pistol unless safety mechanisms are engaged.
