The Prodigy is Springfield Armory's 9mm double-stack offering based on the proven 1911 platform. Built around a double stack magazine, the compact polymer grip module mounts to a forged steel frame and offers a capacity of 15-rounds.
Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms, the AOS(Agency Optic System) uses plates designed exclusively for the 1911 DS. Machined from billet steel, each plate is designed for proper sight picture for the specific optic. The Prodigy ships with a HEX Dragonfly compatible plate. Additional plates sold separately.
The Prodigy utilizes a 1911 DS magazine constructed from 410 stainless steel with witness holes. Designed for cross compatibility with 2011 platforms.
