While the XP 5-coil spring is reliable across all 5.56x45mm barrel lengths, it may be too aggressive on case rims in rifles with barrels longer than 18 inches and could be too strong for bolts with extremely tight bolt face tolerances. Despite this, it provides extreme duty cycles while adhering to performance specifications and remains unaffected by heat up to 750 degree F. It is important to note that D-Fender rings are not recommended for use with our 5-coil extractor springs. For .308 Cal rifles, dual-spring XP extractor spring sets can be used with or without CRANE O-rings and may be necessary for DPMS G2 Bolts in full-auto applications.
