Underwood Ammo's .357 Magnum rounds are engineered to deliver exceptional performance within SAAMI specifications, characterized by their notable recoil. These rounds are particularly intense and we recommend using them primarily in steel revolvers to handle the significant recoil. For those utilizing titanium, scandium or aluminum alloy receivers, it is advisable to load only one or two rounds per cylinder to avoid potential issues such as projectile "creep" from the strong recoil. While the ammunition can be used in snub-nose revolvers, managing a full cylinder may present challenges due to the physics of recoil. Our Full Metal Jacket Flat Nose (FMJ-FN) bullets are non-expanding and designed for powerful penetration, making them ideal for woods defense against large game like wild hogs and black bears. The flat nose design enhances penetration by maintaining a nose-forward position, ensuring maximum effectiveness in dense targets. Each round features nickel-plated brass casings, which offer numerous advantages including improved feeding reliability across all firearm actions, enhanced corrosion resistance and easier cleanup during reloading.
