Its striking urban & black Speckle color scheme adds a modern touch. The mark V Hunter's barreled action is thoughtfully threaded at 1/2 x 28, ensuring compatibility with suppressors or brakes. A protective layer of Cobalt Cerakote shields the action from a wide range of environmental elements. The bolt, featuring deep fluting and a removable knob, serves a dual purpose, reducing weight and enabling efficient dust and debris clearance. This design also results in a reduced bearing surface within the action, thereby enhancing smooth functionality. The mark V Hunter offers versatility with its compatibility across a broad spectrum of cartridges, accommodating both Weatherby magnum chamberings and American classics. Engineered to be one of the world's most robust actions, the mark V boasts a distinctive multi-lug bolt system inspired by the interrupted thread lockup style. It is available in both standard and magnum action sizes, with the standard configuration boasting a six-lug design and the magnum employing nine locking lugs. These design choices empower the actions to confidently handle the most potent commercially available cartridges. Additional safety features include three rings of steel surrounding the base of the cartridge when it's in battery, a fully enclosed bolt shroud, and three strategically placed gas relief ports in the bolt body designed to safely vent pressure in the event of ammunition failure.
