Features
Introducing the new Weatherby Mark V Hunter, a robust addition to the acclaimed Mark V platform now available in an array of chambering's. Designed on the foundation of the Mark V Backcountry 2.0 series, this model features a redesigned polymer stock with enhanced ergonomics. Sporting a trim, flat-bottomed forend and ambidextrous palm swells, the stock is built with aluminum pillars and finished in King's Camo XK7 for durability and style. The barreled action of the Mark V Hunter is protected by a Cobalt Cerakote shell, offering superior resistance to the elements. Its threaded barrel (1/2-28) allows for easy attachment of a suppressor or muzzle brake. The bolt, deeply fluted with a removable knob, not only reduces weight but also enhances operation by clearing dust and debris for smoother cycling. The Mark V boasts Weathersby's renowned multi-lug bolt system, inspired by the interrupted thread lockup style for exceptional strength. The Standard action utilizes a six-lug design, while the Magnum variant features nine locking lugs, ensuring safe chambering of the most powerful cartridges available. Additional safety features include three rings of steel around the cartridge base during battery, a fully enclosed bolt shroud and three gas relief ports in the bolt body to mitigate pressure in case of ammunition failure.
