Vanguard barrels are subjected to the precision of cold hammer forging, elevating their accuracy and reliability beyond that of rifles in the same price range. To substantiate this assertion, all Vanguard must consistently deliver a 3-shot grouping of 0.99 inches or less at 100 yd (SUB-MOA) from a cold barrel when using Weatherby factory or premium ammunition. The Sporter variant is equipped with a 3-position safety, a two-stage trigger, and a fluted bolt body. Each Vanguard model is outfitted with a one-piece machined bolt body and a fully enclosed bolt sleeve. Moreover, they come fitted with an integral recoil lug and a hinged floorplate.
