Winchester Repeating Arms continues to revolutionize rimfire rifles with the new Xpert bolt-action. The Xpert follows in the footsteps of its auto loading cousin, the Wildcat, with bold styling and innovative features that enhance accuracy and performance, all at a price that leaves plenty of cash for ammo. When designing the Xpert, we focused on accuracy and added features to help you get the most from the rifle. Foremost is the new rimfire M.O.A. trigger, similar to the trigger found in model 70 and XPR rifles. This three-lever design offers zero creep, zero take-up and zero-over-travel for a light pull that breaks like glass. The Xpert also boasts a precision button-rifled barrel and a 1/2 x 28 TPI threaded muzzle with a knurled thread protector, along with a hemispherical firing pin for improved reliability with rimfire ammunition. The rifle includes an adjustable rear sight and blade front sight and the steel receiver is drilled and tapped to accept scope mounts. The controls are designed for ease of use, with an extended bolt handle for extra leverage and a conveniently placed safety at the rear of the receiver. Dual, ambidextrous magazine releases on the sides and bottom of the rifle offer versatility and are designed to deliver the magazine into your hand. The Xpert uses the same polymer rotary magazine as the Wildcat and models chambered in .22LR also accept magazines that fit 10/22 rifles. Whether for range days or rabbit hunts, the Xpert is an excellent choice. The tough polymer stock keeps the weight of the Xpert to a low 4.8 lb, making it easy to aim and carry for most users. The stock features a steep grip angle that improves finger-to-trigger reach. For added customization, a length of pull spacer that adds 3/4 inches to the stock is available, as well as a clip-on cheek riser that raises your cheek 1/2 inches.
