The R-ONE handguard, machined from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum, is purpose-built for lightweight AR-15 builds, delivering durability without added bulk. Featuring Aero Precision's proprietary taper lock attachment system, this design combines a slim profile with exceptional stability and strength. The system includes two mirrored tapered locking nuts and a turnbuckle screw that evenly distribute pressure over a custom-engineered barrel nut, while a ratcheting detent secures the assembly and ensures proper alignment during installation. This even-pressure design prevents the distortion often caused by traditional mounting methods. Every R-ONE handguard includes all necessary mounting hardware and is engineered to fit seamlessly with Aero's M4E1 threaded upper receivers, as well as most mil-spec AR-15 uppers, though it may not be compatible with billet uppers due to indexing tab alignment.
