Made from 6061-T6 aluminum, the S-ONE handguards are engineered for lightweight builds without sacrificing durability. The innovative Aero taper lock attachment system provides an incredibly secure mounting platform, maintaining a slim profile while offering the strength you need. This system utilizes two mirrored tapered locking nuts to evenly distribute clamping pressure on a custom barrel nut, tightened using a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent adds an extra layer of security during installation and ensures positive registration. Thanks to the even pressure distribution, the Aero taper lock system helps prevent handguard distortion, commonly seen with other methods. Included with the handguards are all mounting hardware and they are fully compatible with M4E1 threaded and mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers, though they might not fit billet uppers due to indexing tabs.
