The proprietary Atlas attachment system is designed to provide a secure and reliable mounting platform, ensuring a slim profile while maintaining the strength and stability that Aero Precision handguards are known for. The Atlas system incorporates two mirrored tapered locking nuts, which evenly distribute clamping pressure across a custom-engineered barrel nut, secured with a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent adds an extra layer of security, ensuring positive registration during installation. The system's even pressure design prevents handguard distortion, a common issue in traditional installation methods. Atlas handguards are designed to seamlessly integrate with our M4E1 threaded upper receivers but are also compatible with any Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receiver. However, they may not fit billet upper receivers due to indexing tabs. With the Atlas R-One, you get the perfect combination of functionality, strength and sleek aesthetics.
