I am new to the AR family what is the difference between this ammunition and let's say a 62 grain, does this have to do with the type of barrel you have?
ROBERT on Jul 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It’s a Completely Different Caliber barrel. 300aac is a 30 cal bullet available in sizes of 110-220 grains. 62 grain rounds would be a 5.56/.223 caliber bullet. You can not chamber or shoot 5.56/.223 in a 300aac barrel as the casing is too long for the landings on the barrel. DO NOT put 300aac rounds in a rifle chambered for 5.56 or .223.

Works every time
I've tried lots of different brands and loads of subsonic 300 BO and this has been the most consistent for me. Some brands are loaded down and don't function in all semi-autos. I haven't found anything this doesn't work in. Accuracy is perfectly acceptable for factory ammo. This is my go to plinking round.

Even though I have been shooting for many years I have not written an ammo review before. But I feel responsible to warn others in this case. I bought multiple boxes of this ammo. The bullets look somewhat banged-up the casing looks older than once used casing. But for my purpose that is all cosmetic. It feeds ok so far. The AR I was using was suppressed with Harvester suppressor. The first 3 rounds from mag went well. very quiet. Only hear the bolt. Then just when I really really needed the rifle to be quiet the next round coming out is supersonic. Where the heck is quality control. Obviously you can't tell how many rounds are subsonic or supersonic by just looking at them. So I can't trust anyone them now.I am very disappointed. Thanks Federal.
