Hi will this also work for a 223 and the magazines are they the same. ?
Briian F on Dec 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Do not use 556 in a 223. You may destroy your weapon and or hurt yourself. The magazines are the same. 223 can be used in 556 but 556 cannot be used in 223.

Can this ammo be fired in a AR Multi-Cal?
Donny on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: As far as I know, Multi-Cal is only stamped on some lower receivers to indicate that it can handle more than one caliber cartridge. That means that if you have an AR-15, the receiver can handle the .223 Remington, 5.56mm NATO, and other variations based on those cartridges, like the 300 AAC Blackout. The idea here is that if you decide you want to shoot 300 Blackout, you only have to replace your barrel, not the rest of the weapon. What’s really important however, is what is marked on your barrel? If it says 5.56 or 5.56/.223 you’re good to go. If it says just .223 however, some shooters would say don’t shoot 5.56 because of possible higher pressures damaging your weapon.
Are these casings reload worthy?
Rik S on Aug 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. In spite of the super high pressure of these factory loads, the brass works for reloading.

Magpul magazines and American Eagle bulk ammo
what more can you ask for... great priced ammo, and high quality magazines to hold it all. MUST BUY !!!!

PMAGs are great, but the ammo stinks.
This is a great deal and I really appreciate what PSA is doing for their customers, but this ammo from Federal is the worst 5.56 I've ever used. Sometimes I had to measure group size in feet, not inches. Using several different types of barrels, I got horrendous performance. The pressure was super high, so for close range blasting out of an SBR, this would be fantastic.

Muzzle velocity was crazy high. On several occasions and on different lots, I chronographed this stuff at speeds approaching 3500 fps out of a 20 inch barrel. ?!?!?!?!

Anyway, the PMAGs are super duper. The ammo just didn't work well for me. It was mostly good for making lots of noise and shooting close range targets.

Good ammo and great magazines
The shipping was great because it was shipped across the country very quickly. In addition, good clean ammo. Secondly, the magazines are generation 2 which are excellent and flawless.
