Features
Mounted on a flexible shaft, hundreds of abrasive balls provide a quick and effective way to clean and polish both new and used barrels. For older barrels, starting with a fine hone and following up with another pass helps remove rough or tight spots, leaving a bright, smooth finish. A patch run through the barrel before and after honing clearly shows the difference. Tight spots can be easily identified during the process and addressed with additional honing. For new barrels, a single pass with the fine hone enhances the factory finish to a mirror-like shine that's sure to impress customers. The procedure is simple - attach the hone to a variable-speed drill, apply Flex Hone oil, start the drill and insert the hone into the barrel from the breech end if possible. As the tool works, a slurry of oil and abrasive helps improve the cutting action.
- Fine grit refers to 800 grit aluminum oxide
