The Brownells retro waffle steel 20-round M16 magazine is an accurate reproduction of the original military M16 magazines distributed in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Featuring the distinctive waffle pattern stamped into its steel body-unlike the aluminum of other models-this magazine provides an authentic touch to your retro reproduction rifle. Most original USGI waffle magazines were destroyed by the Department of Defense, making them extremely rare and difficult to find. The few that remain are considered collector's items and are often too valuable to use. Our magazines offer the period-correct appearance at a fraction of the cost, while incorporating modern, reliable components to ensure dependable performance in any AR-15, whether new, old or reproduction.
