Features
The Brownells Magna-Tip screwdriver offers gunsmiths and firearms enthusiasts a precise fit for nearly any gun screw they may encounter, as well as for various tasks around the house and garage. The TRUE hollow-ground bit design ensures that the torque is transmitted evenly and smoothly along the shank of the bit. This design not only facilitates efficient power transfer but also ensures complete metal-to-metal contact between the bit tip and the entire screw slot, allowing for maximum power application similar to a finely tapered gun spring. In contrast, so-called hollow-ground screwdrivers that have been ground off square concentrate all torque pressures at the square edge of the grind along the tip, leading to potential breakage, as any gunsmith would recognize. Standard, straight-tapered screwdrivers focus all torque pressures on the fine edge of the screw slot. Additionally, due to their tapered design, the laws of physics cause the bit to be forced out of the slot. The bits used in Brownells Magna-Tip screwdrivers are specifically manufactured for heavy industry applications.
- These components are integral to high-speed, production-grade impact drivers, optimized for precision screw setting in large-scale manufacturing environments
- They must be engineered with an optimal blend of hardness and durability to ensure maximum structural integrity and resistance to wear
