Aluma-Hyde II dries to the touch within minutes and fully cures in about one week. To apply, heat both the part and the Aluma-Hyde II to around 90 deg F, then shake the Aluma-Hyde II vigorously for a few minutes to ensure it is well-mixed. Apply a medium coat for optimal coverage and you can reapply within a few minutes, but not beyond thirty minutes. If the curing process has started, wait until it is fully cured before adding more coats. To speed up curing to approximately two days, circulate warm air at 90 deg F around the part. A primer coat is unnecessary, as Aluma-Hyde II provides a robust, durable, abrasion-resistant and rustproof finish that integrates seamlessly with all gun finishing applications.
