The included Bolt carrier group is finished with phosphate and features a chrome bore and gas key interior. The BRN-16A2 is equipped with a classic 20 inches government profile barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm, offering a distinctive appearance. The barrel includes a chrome bore and chamber with a 1:7 twist rate, optimized for M855 62 grain or heavier projectiles. The muzzle is fitted with an M16A2 flash hider, known for its effective performance. The front sight base, which is not "F" marked, includes the correct A2 square post, bayonet lug, sling swivel and triangle handguard cap. The USGI barrel nut is compatible with a variety of aftermarket handguards, ensuring the upper receiver is adaptable for future upgrades. The M16A2 style handguards provided include the standard heat shield and faithfully replicate the original A2 handguards in both appearance and functionality.
