This deluxe punch set offers a comprehensive selection of 20 punches designed for efficiently starting, removing and installing pins, aligning holes and drifting and staking sights without damaging the part or firearm finish. The set includes alignment punches, flat tip mini punches, starter punches, a nylon drift punch and both center and prick punches, along with our most popular pin punches. Additionally, a machined Delrin bench block is included to organize and provide easy access to all components. The punches are crafted from hardened steel with parallel-ground shanks and feature either knurled or hexagonal handles. The nylon drift punch is made entirely of nylon and can be customized for specific applications. Alignment punches have a tapered pin with a working length of nearly 3 inches, ensuring a secure fit for any hole size within the punch's minimum and maximum outside diameter. Each punch's minimum diameter slightly overlaps with the next larger punch to eliminate any potential gaps in hole coverage. Mini punches, characterized by their small diameter and flat tip, offer excellent control due to their short length, making them ideal for precision work and tight spaces where a full-length punch is impractical. Starter punches are used to initiate the removal of roll or spring pins without damaging the pins or the punch itself. Their short shafts provide greater control by allowing the hand to be closer to the pin, preventing bending of longer, standard roll pin punches. The prick punch features a fine, sharp point for marking spots before center punching and staking sights, offering enhanced visibility and precision. The center punch is used following the prick punch to deepen the mark for precise drilling. Pin punches are employed after the starter punch to complete the driving of roll or spring pins. The bench block is also available for purchase separately.
