Features

The renowned ultra-thin, friction-reducing coating, known for its durability, can now be applied to any clean, pre-heated metal component in as little as two hours. This process ensures the quality of authentic Gun-Kote, supported by Brownells' no-hassle, complete satisfaction guarantee-an unparalleled combination. The self-lubricating properties of molybdenum disulfide can be effortlessly applied to alloy steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum and even properly prepared nickel plating within minutes. To apply, prepare, clean and pre-heat the part to 100 deg F, spray on Brownells Gun-Kote and allow it to dry. Then, bake the part in an oven at 325 deg F for one hour to complete the process. This application protects the metal components of your valuable firearm from rust, corrosion and scratches, providing a beautiful finish that endures for years, maintaining the firearm's like-new appearance. Brownells Gun-Kote is a robust, second-generation epoxy, thermo-set resin finish that resists breakdown, peeling or dissolving. Once applied, the only method to remove Brownells Gun-Kote is through abrasive blasting. It is resistant to all known gun solvents and thinners. Each coat measures approximately 0.0004 inches in thickness, allowing Brownells Gun-Kote to be used on both internal and external parts where a close-tolerance fit is necessary without concern for interference. This makes Brownells Gun-Kote the ideal, maintenance-free coating for handgun slides and frames, shotgun receivers and magazine tubes, rifle actions and bolts-anywhere an ultra-thin, self-lubricating, permanent coating is required for protection and durability.
