The kit includes a 50 lb bag of dry sulfamic acid, 100 pH color test strips (range 0-14), 100 potassium iodide starch test strips, a dropper bottle for dispensing 31 degree hydrochloric acid and Brownells neutralizing instructions. To neutralize Brownells Oxynate No. 7 and Oxynate No. 84 bluing salts for safe disposal in sanitary sewers, two additional chemicals are required - pure household Lye, which is available locally and 31 degree hydrochloric acid (also known as 18 degree baume muriatic acid), which can be sourced locally or from Brownells.
