For additional recoil reduction, the optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake can be added. The action is bedded and the barrel is free-floated for consistent accuracy, making this rifle ideal for both hunting and long-range practice. For those seeking extra magazine capacity, the Speed LR features the new Plus Magazine system. This single-stack, extended design holds 5 or 6-rounds depending on the cartridge and retains the shoulder holding feature of the X-Bolt rotary magazine. It also uses the same center feed design to prevent bullet tip damage under recoil or when loading. The Plus Magazine system offers easy insertion and ejection with a convenient side-mounted release button. The cerakote Smoked Bronze finish on the redesigned action and barrel provides superior protection compared to traditional bluing or stainless steel. The DLX trigger, a three-lever design, offers zero creep, zero take-up and zero overtravel performance and is preset at 3.5 lb (adjustable to 3.0 lb). The lightweight Vari-Tech composite stock features 3-way adjustment, excellent concealment with Browning OVIX and a new, thicker Inflex recoil pad.
