First off you have to understand not all 22LR is created equal. A LONG time ago I learned that some ammo manufacturers use sand yes SAND mixed with the gunpowder to give 100% case fill higher pressure (and velocity) with less gun powder. About 20 years ago I found out really fast this type of ammo would render my Ran Line 30 round mags useless and there was nothing that could bring them back because of the sand lodged in the body. These mags are no different. If you tear your rifle down spotlessly clean it and try different brands of ammo you will see that some are terribly dirty and some just leave a powder residue. I've done work to my rifle that should reduce reliability for improved accuracy. Adjusted head space to 0.043" and shortened the chamber 0.060". Luckily my particular rifle is most accurate with bulk ammo that burns clean and only leaves a light dusting of powder residue. I bought two of these to test. The first one I've ran an entire box of over 300 rounds through zero mag related failures. I did have five failure to fire the first mag full but that was my fault. I removed the barrel and cleaned up the extractor ramp a little bit and the rest of the box ran flawlessly. Fired 50 rounds out of the second mag zero failures. Point being run crap ammo and these things will fail almost immediately but wouldn't you expect that if you threw sand in ANY magazine? Run clean ammo and I don't know why you would have any problems.
