Quality is infused into every Faxon barrel from the very beginning. We start with the highest grade materials certified 416R stainless steel. Each barrel undergoes a rigorous testing process throughout every stage of production, followed by Nitride treatment and a final inspection. To ensure precision, all barrels are individually checked for headspace using custom precision hardened gauges. Faxon's Match series barrels elevate our well known performance and value to the next level. Manufactured in house from premium gun barrel quality bar stock, the Match series begins with 416R stainless steel and is built with 5R rifling. This hybrid rifling, featuring lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles, minimizes jacket deformation, increases velocity and simplifies cleaning. The barrels are chambered in .223 Wylde, a hybrid chamber that maximizes the advantages of 5R rifling, resulting in better accuracy and less bullet jump. Every barrel undergoes full magnetic particle inspection (MPI) testing for added safety. After extensive testing, the barrels are treated with Nitride inside and out, sealing the bore, improving barrel life and protecting against the elements. The extension is coated in nickel Teflon, offering exceptional dry lubricity and corrosion resistance. This coating also tightens the fit between the extension and receiver, further enhancing accuracy. Together, the Match series barrels deliver unparalleled performance and value, making them ready for anything whether on duty or in competition.
