good for plinking and good brass for reloading
bought it when it was on sale. Lake city brass should be good for reloading group for a M1A is respectable. I was not impressed with the brass when I got it but after shooting and three hours in the tumbler it did clean up nicely for reloading

Great for the price and type of performance
I have fired this ammo through several weapons and it has outperform my expectation only one flyer out of 300 rounds on target and consistent . I did not think manufactures ammo would perform this well. I also understand that not all weapons perform the same with this ammo or any other type and that is why 308 is great...you have so many types and gran to select from .

Bi-metal or mild steel jacket inconsistant groups with my LMT
I purchased this ammo for blasting at my local range and had no expectation that it would group sub-MOA with my 16" chrome lined LMT but damn this stuff was patterning all over the target. I can usually get sub-MOA with my 223 using federal match so I know what I am capable of but using a Vortex 2.5-10x32 I was getting 8" groups at 100 yards. I was not impressed at all. Best group of the day was 3" with PPU 168gr match. This ammo is for "spray n' pray" only as well as amassing brass for reloading. That is all it's worth.

Great Target Ammo
I have to say I am impressed with this ammo. Shot some out of my Remington 700 VTR 3 bullets in the same hole at 50 yards. I have not been able to do that with other factory loads. Great value especially when you get it on sale. I did have some feed issues using this in my Sig 716 but that gun has issues with most ammo (and is going back to Sig for some testing). I'll buy more when it goes on sale again. A free shipping deal would be nice Palmetto!

Bad Brass
Brass was in terrible shape dirty and corroded. Also every other round did not cycle my action.

I must have got the last of it
$9.99 for a box of 20. Cheapest 7.62 ammo there is. JGSales has 7.62 ammo 240 rounds for $139.00 plus tax so around $150. I got the same deal for $130 and it is shipped. The stuff shoots just fine. Next up is buying the parts for a 7.62 AR. Where can I get one? Oh yea..........I can get one from PSA lower and an upper for $700. Everything I have ordered from PSA has been received in approx. one week maybe 9 days.

No complaints and great value for Consistent Military type ammo.
I haven't had any issues with this ammo. Every one went bang in both my Sig 716 and my Savage 10. It's not match ammo and it does attract a magnet although I do not believe its "Steel Core" as others have suggested. Probably some iron content in the jacket material. I've gotten 1.5 to 2 MOA at best but it has high quality consistent brass that will produce much better results when reloaded. I've bought other 7.62 NATO ammo that is 4 MOA at best (even though the box claims 1 MOA) and it cost more than this. Every one I've checked with my concintricity gauge is below 3 thousandths out of round which is good enough for me. IMHO I don't see how you can go wrong and I'll be buying more when it comes back in stock. Expect to ream/swage the primer pockets if you reload because it is crimped. All the ones I have are from LC 2014 lot.

Previous review said their was something wrong with the primers. This is quality mil spec M80 ball ammo.
Their is nothing wrong with the primers. The reviewer was correct it is harder to ignite the primer compound on military specification ammo. The primers are harder on military ammunition because most mil spec weapons do not have a firing pin retraction spring. The firing pin can rebound and cause a secondary round to fire without pulling the trigger. If your weapon has a reduced power hammer spring or a match trigger with a light spring you could have this problem but it is not the fault of the ammunition. Its a normal condition. I have used three cases in SR 25 M14 and LR-308 style weapons with no primer failures.
