I have the # PSA AR-15 UPPER 5.56 16" MID-LGTH 1:7 NITRIDE DISSIPATOR - 5165449779
and the thumb screw PSA MIL-SPEC AR-15 CARRY HANDLE. But I’m thinking about buying an actual carry handle Upper to replace the m4 upper.
that said, the DISSIPATOR is a very “budget” built upper & I’m finding M16A1 stripped receivers around $150 + sight parts at $30 .
I don’t know if I can justify Upgrading to a stripped upper that cost about as much as the whole original built upper.

I’m running that exact setup. On my lower I’m using a Hogue fixed buttstock with Aero precision rifle spring and buffer. Put a magpul grip on it. It shoots really soft & is reliable. I’d say run what you have. God Bless-Dave

I have an Aero Precision 20" upper that I mounted a JE Machine Tech carry handle rear sight. I like it because I can take it off and mount any other optic if I want. Also an actual rear carry handle upper, while a purists dream, would instantly become junk if you drop it and break the damn thing. I like iron sights, because I grew up shooting them, including in the military. They are the only true all weather sight, don’t rely on batteriesand virtually fail proof. Everyone has their own preferences, so I digress.
Dissipator upper should in addition to reducing felt recoil, also increase muzzle velocity, because it doesn’t let propellant gasses escape too soon. Another plus is increased cycle time which significantly reduces wear and tear on BCG. Noise reduction a big bonus.
