Ive been looking at trigger options for the Dagger I recently purchased during 4th July sale.
I was looking for inexpensive options and a friend that has alot of Glocks recommended the “Serpico Lyte”. Said its nice for the price. So did a quick search before buying and noticed that some Dagger users are saying It does not work properly in the Dagger frame.
At the same time i see posts of owners with that trigger installed and say it works.
Has the frame been updated or am I missing something?
heres a link to one of the threads - Reddit - Dive into anything
Outside of the Serpico Lyte I was looking at the Overwatch PolyDat Trigger and the Apex Polymer AEKit.
I wanted to get the opinion from users that have spent time on both triggers.
I think either option sounds good but the main negatives ive seen mentioned about them.
Apex - Can be alittle mushy and/or have alittle more travel than other triggers.
(I assume this is due to the fact that the apex trigger sits alittle more forward than the Overwatch)
Overwatch - I have seen ppl mention that the trigger itsself has play and moves around slightly compared to other triggers.
(Really interested if this is a thing as that would bother me)
I know another thing to keep in mind is the size/length of my finger when looking at these 2 triggers.
I just wanted to hear other ppls experience on these.
Yeah i prefer a flat trigger over a hinged trigger in general.
I also never really liked stock glock triggers to begin with.
The build im waiting to arrive uses the full size frame. I plan to do another build with a compact frame that i will eventually carry. On that setup i plan to leave the trigger alone besides a trigger shoe swap
A couple weeks ago, The Wife was attending a free-to-public “Ladies Introduction to Dynamic Shooting” our shooting club put on as a membership drive (and I Volunteered to help staff).
On the USPSA Course, I watched several of the women get a little Coaching from the RO and SO (whom were both sporting “Race” guns), who obviously knew what they were doing. They offered me to take a few runs, but I deferred to the end of the day (I felt the event wasn’t about us guys - it was to Drive Women’s Membership). Here’s a pic of it - 3shots/target:
So, we’re about to pack up, last offer to run - so I borrowed The Wife’s Dagger (which I had helped her fit to her hands with a magwell and a little sculpting, and sight the Dot to how she holds it - so I’m not nearly as accurate as she is with it).
My first run I bobbled, had to fumbly-mag-change (because I was stupid and didn’t start with a full G17 mag & one in the pipe) and scored decent - mostly “A” zone and a couple of “C” zone - but with a dismal, 17+ seconds time (especially compared to the other two guys 6.9 and 8.2) because I moved like a lump.
One more run, the RO was like “I don’t CARE how you score, I want to see you MOVE and Shoot while you’re doing it!” So the beep goes off, the RO shouts “MOVE! MOVEMOVEMOVEMOVE!” so I Moved… as I was saying about The Wife’s Dagger - it’s HoroShan’s not sighted to me, so I just point-shot everything.
Got “A”-zone on everything except T3-T4 - two misses T4 and a “C” - two “C” T3 and an “A” (using the Ol’ Kentucky Windage!); and a 7.5x time.
The hinged trigger is absolutely not a Hindrance, if a lump like myself can Run it.
