We normally remove the ballasts (cut ballast wires close to ballast) and pigtail tombstone leads (to each end) together - , and directly wire the 120vac neutral to one end, and the hot to the to the other end of the tombstone leads.
The LED retrofit lamps have drivers built in each tube. It only takes a few minutes and you won’t waste energy thru additional unnecessary heat loss from the ballasts. There are transformers, and high frequency inverters in the T8 electronic ballasts that the LED tubes do not need, and waste power. Adds up in places like schools where there are multiple hundreds of fixtures.

Warm day last month before Thanksgiving shot it with oilbase paint but prep first.
New rubber/ balanced, bed, harness and lights.

Love that old Cub. I had the 1050 Hydro back in the day same wheel weights and tires, lime filled tires. I think they changed how they state/rate HP in lawn tractors. For 10 HP she should would punch above her weight.

I had a 1050 3 spd w/creeper gear that would pull! It favored this 1710 Hydro that is getting weak with 1409 hrs on the working meter. Love the original patina on this one.

The Hydro’s would pull but you just had to remember it’s not like a gas pedal. If she’s starting to struggle move the speed lever closer to neutral.
3 with a creeper now that would be a puller.
