Ok well reloaded 5.7x28

Ok so I bought 500 cases of used brass, and 40gr Hornady V-max bullet, using Accurate #7 at 6.5gr. of powder and CCI small rifle primer. One reject of 8 rounds with plunk test of go/no go test.

If it works then I will be paying $25 per 50 rounds, if it doesn’t and you never hear from me a again you know it went really bad!

I will use my Rock also for test with its super heavy barrel.

Will give report tomorrow with Chrono results

What did you use to clean the cases?

I used Hornady sonic bath for about 15mins. The solution smells a bit like pine-sol or something near that and distilled water. It gets the carbon off of them.

They shot well no failures out of 8 so will work on a larger batch. Average of 1750fps out of the Rock.

Biggest problem is extraction, because it’s got a straight wall and bottle neck, which both work synergistically against it being easy to pull out of the chamber.

Yeah for sure, the coating is good for helping with that and so don’t tumble them just a little wash and dry. Once in a while it will skin a little of it off during resizing but most are ok. They are a bit of work but fun experiment.
