Replacing the housing for firing pin/spring inside slide

I just noticed a mark in my ceiling. I have cathedral ceilings in here so I’ll have to get the ladder out tomorrow. I’m wondering if it’s stuck up in there.

Nope.

FYI If you happen to decide to disassemble the frame by driving out the 2 rear roll pins be careful of the takedown plunger assembly and its spring as you remove the trigger assembly. The takedown plunger is just sorta clipped to the frame by the spring and the spring will launch into orbit if you look at it sideways. Luckily my buddy found it on the other side of the shop.

@sean.psa Any word on the P17-0005-00 part orders? I got 2 of the P17-0004-00 parts but i need the other half.

Same thing happened to me yesterday but I only list the small pice of plastic that goes into the spring. So had to order a new one.

Where are you guys able to order the striker housings? They are not listed on the parts page for the gun. Thanks

How do I contact them when NONE the options for phone or online support have this as an option? I called support and it kept asking for an order number. Finally I spoke to a CS person and it was like they NEVER ran into the case where someone is trying to order spare parts. They didn’t have a process to handle this. They took down my name, email address and number and said they will send the parts. I was like, umm, am I going to get an email or something for payment and they said yes. I haven’t heard anything yet but it has only been one day so far but I don’t have much confidence I will hear back due to how unprepared they seemed about this request.

In the meantime I tried using the chat option. Nope, no way to get support to order parts. Just a circle of what is the issue, what is the order number and NONE are related to ordering parts. Then I used the online support request form. Again, NOTHING about how to order parts so I picked “Missing Parts” but that isn’t accurate. And they have bold red messaging about if you select the wrong reason for contacting them, the request wont be read!

What a PITA.

Let me send a message up the chain and see what kind of response we can get.

After weeks and weeks and having to constantly email support and various executives and managers I finally get this from Juslissa who was directed by management to reach out. It is unimaginable that you can’t buy spare parts. Just ridiculous. This will be my first and last PSA product. No wonder they have such a bad reputation. They have earned a pissed off customer for life and I will be sure to spread the word.

Thank you for your patience! I just heard back from the repair technicians about the parts that you requested. Unfortunately, they told me they do not send out the parts requested they do not sell them on the site because they are allocated for repairs on the Rock 5.7 specially and are to only be used for production and repairs.
