I’m having the same issue. 3 different kinds of ammo. You got any word back from them yet?
EDIT: this is usually the issue, but I also get occasional FTEs.

Do you have the same TIN coated barrel? I have a rock and no such issue but I have a regular barrel and have only ever shot it suppressed.
No this is the normal/base model factory barrel. It happens both suppressed and unsuppressed.
The can I’ve used is the Ecco Machine Caracal 5.7 Ti. I can’t remember if I’ve tried my Mask or my Nyx on this gun too.
I tried a number of things, including different ammo, loading less in the mag and thorough cleaning and lubing. PSA Matt said to file a warranty claim. He sent a shipping label and the Rock was sent off a few days ago. I suspect it will be a few weeks, which is reasonable. I did wonder about the tin coated barrel but it sounds like that is not the issue.
I recommend going to the website and filing a claim. I heard back very quickly and received the shipping label post haste.
What’s the weight of that can?
Including mount, probably about 3.8 oz.

Have you emptied the slide open then clear then pull hard on slide.

Update: Entered warranty form for the Rock and immediately received an email with a problem number. Matt was kind enough to reach out to me and provide shipping information and label to send the gun in. Got the gun in the mail one day later. Was worked on and about a week or so later I got it back. It seems the safety block and housing needed to be replaced. They also buffed the barrel to reduce rubbing. They fired 4 mags through it and I can happily says I was able to shoot 32 rounds without any issues. I am happy to have the gun back and in working order. Aside from the initial issue experienced on a new gun, the whole process was quick efficient and affective. I am greatly pleased with PSAs service and will continue to do business with them in the future.

That’s great glad to hear…Once I reach a point with the grease mine becomes
fussy…I’ll try a light lube but I wanted to mention I also get a ton of brass shavings,
likely a contributor …I’m thinking/hoping it’s still breaking in at 200rds.
How many dry with snaps? My experience? At first hmmm? Dry fire the drap out of it with snaps that it chewed the crap out of. End result? Sewing machine that hit’s every stitch.

Do you happen to have the gold TIN barrel? It may be the shavings you are seeing are from the barrel. I was seeing them and am certain it was the barrel rubbing on the frame. The buffing addressed this issue. Best of luck on smooth shooting from here out!

I want to say I thought was brass first look, inspecting my chameleon barrel maybe slight
wear toward the top rear half corner where stamped 5.7x28… is that where he found the
barrel was compromised?
I’ve stripped out the auto bearing grease brew I use on AR’s and replaced it with a nice
light mist of silicone…I can see this Rock slide is almost maxed out weight wise and it
just won’t push around hi-viscosity lube especially with a full mag.
I saw rubbing near the front of the barrel. Hard to say where the smith found evidence. I’m just happy it shoots as it should now!

PSA support recommends only using CLP for lubrication due to very close tolerances.
I wouldn’t use silicone.

Silicon is great for water repellant. But use a gun oil/lube for firearms.

The extractor is very sharp when new and it shaves part of the rim of the brass case quite a bit until it dulls a bit. I actually had brass shavings in the striker housing that I cleaned out. After a few hundred rounds there are no more brass shavings, and the gun runs flawless.
