Have you had a chance to test the new grip under recoil?
Not as of yet unfortunately ![]()
Im looking forward to your thoughts on it.
I’m in the market for a good 12-ga. for home defense, so thanks for the advice, guys.
This seems like a perfect solution for me. I have had my eye on a Choate side-folding stock but they are quite pricey and I already have one on my home defense Winchester that I used during my LE career. This is just a truck gun and would fit much better.
Forgot to ask, where did you get the Raptor grip?
Bought it from Ebay.
I just want a Serbu Super Shorty. ![]()
Not sure what that is but you can get a 14" without a sbr stamp ![]()

Pretty cool. But with a 2 round capacity, might aswell just use a double barrel.
It’s definitely impractical. For an HD shotgun, I would definitely go for an 88. I plan on getting an 88 with the second barrel (I think it’s called the “Sportsman’s Bundle” or something). Just in case I need to get some squab.
I’m still partial to the Mossberg Shockwave with its extreme low recoil using new and improved mini shells effective to 25 yards. I have been practicing support and sighting techniques by “Demonstrated Concepts” and it has completely changed my view of the Shotgun.

Mini shells run reliably in all Mossberg/Maverick 88s using the OPSol adapter
I have one, and it is certainly worth all the hype. I’ve had not one malfunction, and those mini shells not only dramatically increase capacity, they are fun to shoot as well
Useful against a home intruder? Absolutely
A bear? NO……
That’s how I broke my boys in to 12ga
Mini shells
Bird shot
Buck shot
Slugs
Progressively building
Now my oldest is scary fast on a pump action with buck shot…
Your right the OPSol adapter soft and fragile cant really be trusted from falling out, mine anyway. However there is a new product that is so much better its more reliable than the S model and cant be pulled out, pinned in by the trigger group. Oops correction, you said NO malfunctions, sorry. But anyway my OPsol falls out easily. This new type cant.

I put a OPSol adapter in my PSA cart yesterday. I have the 20" Maverick so I think it will hold 12 mini shells.
What brand of ammo are you using @rockymountainjeep I’ve read Aquila runs good ![]()
Something is wrong with your OPSol adapter
I have all over 500 rounds through mine and it’s still a PITA to get in and out
Aquila is all I’ve shot
