The G2 Research Radically Invasive Projectile (RIP) bullet is a copper hollow-point with the tip of the bullet consisting of six trocar-shaped petals which, upon impact, act similar to a holesaw. RIP bullets act like a FMJ on impact in solid objects, and as the bullet passes through soft tissue it expends its energy. The design allows for an ease of entry by reducing the deceleration at the point of impact, causing potential energy to be conserved, thus delivering a deadly kinetic energy wave.

G2 380 RIP
I've tried a number of hollow points in a number of calibers and these are the absolute best of the best. As a defensive round, put these in a 380 and have the stopping power of a 45. Thanks G2.

JUNK! No mass = No power, no penetration.
Read the muzzle energy on this G2 garbage. There is no mass to this for it to make any energy and it is not even on par with .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire. It looks really cool, but it performs horribly in animal tissue. Penetration is absolutely terrible. Some of the little tracors or whatever G2 calls them peel off and most are barely beneath the skin. The center slug barely made it in maybe 5 inches. You would be better off with a .25 ACP loaded with Hornady hollow points! If you want to use lead free hipster eco-Nazi ammo, you are going to need to carry something like a .40 S&W and be willing to settle for .380 ACP performance, or less. I shoot decomposing cattle and see how different bullets damage the tissue inside. Most of these cows are pretty tenderized from decay, and the smell is horrible. Even with rotten tissue G2 ammo's performance is pathetically lame. It looks really cool in that clear gel at the gun shows and on the gun store counter, but when was the last time you were attacked by Jell-O? When was anyone ever attacked by Jell-O? Until Jell-O becomes an evil sentient being and goes on a rampage, leave this garbage on the shelf until the store puts it on sale for $6 a box. Seriously, don't buy it! This stuff is not even worth half the price they charge for it, and I don't care how cool it looks! It is still gimmicky anemic junk ammo. RIP, Civic Doody, and Telos are all junk ammo. Another deciding factor:. "If you can't afford to practice with the same ammo you intend to carry as defensive ammo, carry something else as defensive carry ammo!" I have shot $100 of 9mm Golden Saber, or HST, or Gold Dot, or HTP, into targets in well under 10 minutes. With this garbage I'd be done in 3 minutes. Two CCI .22 LR Velocitors did way more damage than one round of this ammo. That is 26 cents worth of .22LR versus $1.46 worth of 1 round of .380 RIP junk ammo! Same carcass, same day. Guns used. I gave RIP junk every chance I could with a $1000 Beretta 86FS with a 4 3/8" barrel and I used a 4 inch .22 LR S&W 617 10 shot revolver. With a Ruger LCP, the RIP ammo was a total joke. That is where a .25 ACP Jennings Raven loaded with Hornady Critical Defense ammo ammo would actually be a better choice. The little Ruger LCR revolver chambered in .22 WMR just ate 380 RIP's lunch! Now we are down to 22 cents versus $1.46 in ammo. I don't care what you see on YouTube. People are not Jell-O, fish or poultry. They are more like a cow, than a fish or a chicken, and none of those are like Jell-O.
