The GLOCK 17 Gen5 refines the platform with ergonomics and speed improvements aimed at duty and defensive use. The frame eliminates finger grooves for a more universal grip while three interchangeable backstraps allow the grip profile to be tailored to different hands. A flared magwell and a front‑of‑frame cutout accelerate reloads when every fraction of a second counts.
Controls accommodate both hands: the magazine catch is enlarged and reversible for user‑level change, and the slide stop lever is ambidextrous. Barrel work includes a slightly revised rifling profile and a reworked crown to enhance precision and consistency shot to shot. The package ships with three 17‑round magazines for immediate service use.
