The K-SPEC buffer was designed with one primary objective - to reduce felt recoil and improve follow-up shot speed. Taking inspiration from modern recoil management systems used in pistols, which evolved from single-piece recoil rod assemblies to dual-spring systems with compression guide rods, we applied this technology to the AR-15, AR-10 and pistol caliber AR platforms. The K-SPEC buffer introduces an innovative recoil reduction system that effectively absorbs and disperses recoil energy, minimizing muzzle flip and reducing kickback. This enables faster, more accurate shots, allowing you to maintain a steady target sight picture. The buffer features a two-piece reciprocating design with a custom captured compression spring mechanism, working in harmony with our flat wire buffer spring. Recoil is transferred into the buffer spring and then spread evenly across the K-SPEC buffer internals, ensuring a smooth, linear recoil absorption instead of the harsh, abrupt impact seen with traditional buffer systems.
