The Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak is an ultra-lightweight, magnum-capable hunting rifle engineered for backcountry hunters who demand maximum performance without unnecessary weight. Chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum, it delivers exceptional long-range power, flat trajectory, and strong terminal performance, making it well-suited for large game in demanding environments. Built on a proven bolt-action platform, the rifle features a 26” stainless steel barrel with a match-grade chamber for enhanced accuracy and consistency. Finished in durable KimPro II, the barrel is equipped with a muzzle brake to help manage magnum recoil, while the 1:10 twist rate supports a wide range of .30 caliber projectiles. Kimber’s controlled-round-feed system, incorporating a Mauser-style claw extractor and spiral fluted bolt, ensures smooth cycling and reliable operation under harsh field conditions.

The rifle is paired with a premium H-S Precision stock constructed from a combination of fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, reinforced with aluminum bedding for added strength and stability. Finished in green with black speckle, the stock features a recoil pad and a 13.75” length of pull for a stable and comfortable shooting platform. The stainless steel receiver is also finished in KimPro II for superior corrosion resistance and is drilled and tapped for easy optic mounting. A 3-position safety and adjustable trigger, set between 3.5 and 4 pounds, provide excellent control and customization. Feeding from a 4-round internal magazine, the rifle maintains a streamlined profile without sacrificing capacity.
